Destiny calls
After running out of the house, I didn't go back to the orphanage. I walked around for a while, I stayed out till after dark. I almost got myself killed.
I knew I wasn't permitted to go out after dark. My mother didn't want me to, and the orphanage didn't want me to. And not even Joyce wants me to go out that late.
But I didn't think about all of that, I was just thinking of how evil I must be to cause such pain. I was only thinking of myself. I didn't even think about what Joyce or mom must be feeling.
I was so selfish.
So there I was, walking down the street, being selfish when all of the sudden...
"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!" I heard somebody scream.
The scream came from the church yard, so I, being the stupid girl I am, went to check it out.
And there was this guy biting a girl. I had to do something, so I kicked him. He fell, and let go of the girl.
"Run!" I yelled, I was to frozen to run too.
Then I saw his face, there was something seriously wrong with him. And I kicked him again and again and again.
I didn't even know what I was doing, I'd never hit anyone in my entire life before. Until now.
Suddenly I saw a piece of wood lying on the ground, I grabbed it, and staked it in his heart.
He just said one thing...
"Slayer ?" he said, and he turned to dust.
It was incredible. It wasn't even like I was really scared, it felt right, in some freaky way.
But okay, I might have been a little freaked out, scared at the moment.
So I ran to the orphanage as fast as I could.
Now I'm stuck with all these questions.
Like :
What's a slayer ?
And was that guy a vampire ???
