Note: As you know from my summary, this final chapter is the thoughts of all three characters. I’ve decided to not specify who’s thinking what at what times. I think it might be more fun to have you guys guess. I’ll try not to make it to difficult to figure out. If it gets too confusing however someone please let me know and I’ll edit it. For those of you who wanted more from different characters don’t worry I most likely will go back and do just that. I’m not really sure when but I’m pretty sure at some point I will. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the final chapter.
Giles, Dawn and Buffy walk closer to the giant hole that used to be Sunnydale. Xander, helps Willow walk, fallows behind them. Finally Faith gets off the bus and comes up behind them, “Well it looks like the Hellmouth is officially closed for business.”
Wow. I didn’t even think of it that way. It’s over. All of the fighting of the demons. Always having to protect the Hellmouth from opening and all. I mean sure I never was much the one doing the protecting because usually Buffy and the others do that but still. All of that worrying that something was always going to go wrong is gone now. I don’t have to worry anymore that I’ll face certain death. I can move on with my pathetic life in peace. This is kinda neat.
Giles stepped a little closer to the edge, “There is another one in Cleveland.”
Oh that’s very funny. All my hopes and dreams come true and it lasts all of two seconds. Thanks a lot Giles.
Is he kidding? We shouldn’t be worrying about any demon type things right now. I just know everything is going to be ok. I can feel it. Slayers are rising everywhere and everything is going to be ok.
Everyone looks at him, “Not to spoil the moment.”
Ha-ha leave it to Giles to bring that one up. I love that guy. I couldn’t have done any of this without him. I hope he knows that he’s always been like a father to me and that I love him.
Xander let Willow go, “We saved the world.”
Well that wasn’t stating the obvious at all Xander. Still smooth as ever. Good to know that even after near death I can still point out the obvious.
Ha-ha silly Xander…always stating the obvious. But we didn’t just save the world.
“We changed the world,” Willow walks towards Buffy. “I can feel them Buffy…all over.” She puts her hand on Buffy’s shoulder. “Slayers are awakening everywhere.”
Wow…I don’t think it’s still kicked in yet what this all means…everything that’s happened. I hope it does soon. This is a weird feeling.
Dawn looks at Willow, “We’ll have to find them.”
“We will.”
All those girls. They must be so confused but also probably kinda happy considering their super strong and all. I hope we can find them all…or at least most of them.
Wow…I’m not the only slayer anymore. Well I mean I guess I haven’t been for a while because of Faith and all but now there’s bunch of them out there. Why am I still not comprehending all this?
Giles walked closer to the group, “Yes because the mall was actually in Sunnydale so there’s no hope for going there tomorrow.”
Dawn looked disappointed, “We destroyed the mall…I fought on the wrong side.”
Hey…what’s going on here? Giles and Dawn just did the whole being funny thing after a crisis. That’s my job!
Weird…Dawn and Giles just made with the funny in a crisis. That’s usually Xander’s job.
The mall is gone. Where the hell am I? Wake up Buffy and start actually dealing.
Xander smiled, “All those shops gone, the gap, Starbucks, Toys-R-us. Who will remember all those landmarks unless we tell the world about them?”
There it is. That’s the Xander I know. Good for you.
Yup…I’ve still got it.
Starbucks? I could use some coffee.
Giles shrugged, “We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us.”
He’s joking right? Please tell me he’s joking. I plan to relax for about a month.
I can’t believe that after we stopped the first and destroyed Sunnydale all Giles can think about is doing more work. I just don’t get that guy.
Faith looks at him and points, “Can I push him in?”
Willow raises her hand, “You’ve got my vote.”
Did I just say that? I was just kidding Giles.
Faith pushes Giles, “I just wanna sleep yo for like a week.”
I second that motion.
Sleep sounds really really good right now.
Sleep? What is that again? Am I sleeping right now? Cuz I kinda feel like I might be sleeping.
“I guess we all could if we wanted to,” Dawn giggles.
Willow smiles, “Yea, the First is scrunched so…what do you think we should do Buffy?”
Wow she looks pretty out of it. I hope she’s ok, still in shock I would guess.
Wakey Wakey Buff.
Is someone talking to me? I think I should probably start paying attention now. Things are actually starting to sink in. I’m not the only slayer anymore, we destroyed the First, Sunnydale is gone…Wow!
Faith smiles, “Yea your not the one and only chosen anymore. You just gotta live like a person. How’s that feel?”
That’s true. Now that Willow worked her mojo Buffy kinda got a get out of duty free card here. That’s gotta feel absolutely amazing.
Ok she’s showing no emotion at all. Is she even in there? Buffy?
Like a person? Like a real girl?
Dawn looks at Buffy, “Yea Buffy…what are we gonna do now?”
Now? Now that everything in the world is different? Now that I get to live like a normal girl? Wow…what am I going to do?
What are we going to do?
The little one brings up a good point…what are we gonna do?
They all look at Buffy with question in their eyes. Buffy just smiles.
I know what I’m going to do. I’m going to live. I’m going to finally live…like a normal girl. I’m finally a normal girl.
Note: Sorry Buffy’s thoughts are so weird and kind of retarded but especially in this ending moment she is so hard to figure out. This is the only thing I could think of that she would be thinking. I hope I did an ok job. Please review and let me know. Thanks!
