The next morning they all stood in the front office saying good-bye to Cole.
Angel and Cole shook hands. “It was nice to meet you,” said Cole, “I mean it’s not everyday you get to meet a vampire with a soul.”
“And it’s not everyday you meet the former Source of All Evil,” replied Angel.
Cole stepped over to Prue. They embraced. “Tell mom I said hello,” she said, kissing him on the cheek.
“I will,” he said releasing her. He held his hand out to Doyle. “Take care of my little girl,” he said, “You hurt her, and you will suffer.”
“Yes sir,” said Doyle. He wrapped his arm around Prue’s shoulders. “Don’t worry; I’d rather die than cause her pain.”
“Good,” said Cole as he turned and walked out the door.
As the door closed Prue leaned into Doyle. As she did so he was thrown backward as if someone had pushed him. Angel caught him before he hit the ground.
As Doyle came out of the vision Prue asked, “What now?”
“Trouble,” he replied.
Angel looked at both of them. Sensing the new power emanating off of Prue he said, “We’re ready for it.”
