When Buffy got back home she just laid on her bed for a while just thinking and crying. She almost wished she hadn’t remembered what happened that day, it would have been easier. She kept picturing in her mind what it was like when they were together, lying with him in bed, listening to his heart beat, eating ice cream with him. It was so hard to have only had all that fro one day. She thought, how does Angel deal with this? How could he have even done this in the first place? She knew the answer to that but she still didn’t want to believe it.
Buffy had just stopped crying when Willow walked in. “Buffy your back! Giles told me you went to L.A. again, what happened? Is everything ok?” Willow was worried about her friend. She could see the pain in her eyes.
Buffy looked at her reassuringly, “Everything is fine Will don’t worry. I just needed to see Angel and find out if something was real or not.”
“Your dream?” Willow asked.
“Yea,” Buffy said with pain her voice.
The two girls sat there for a while. Buffy told Willow everything that had happened. She told her a full detailed version of her dream and everything that had happened in L.A.
Willow just looked at her feeling so horrible. “Buffy I’m so sorry.”
It’s ok…I guess that’s just the way it had to be…I mean Angel was right to do what he did…he had no choice,” Buffy said trying to convince herself it was true.
Willow, looking very angry, put her two cents in, “Like hell he didn’t. He could have talked to you first instead of just going and doing something that would hurt you and scar you for the rest of your life.” Willow looked very hurt and angry. She had just suffered from a very hard brake up with Oz and a lot of what she said was relating to what had happened to her. She started getting tears in her eyes.
Buffy knew she was talking about Oz. She got up off her bed and went over to Willow’s bed and gave her a big hug. “It’s gonna be ok Will, everything is gonna be ok.” Buffy was getting teary herself but knew she had to be strong for her friend. She just sat there and let Willow cry on her shoulder.
After a while Willow calmed down and lifted her head. She wiped her eyes and looked at Buffy, “I’m sorry Buffy, I didn’t mean to get all upset its just…” Willow trailed off.
“I know Will, its ok,” Buffy said reassuringly.
Willow looked at Buffy with concern, “Buffy you look exhausted.”
“Yea…I didn’t get much sleep when I was in L.A., I think I might take a nap for a while,” Buffy said with a yawn. She went over to her bed and laid down.
Willow looked at her and smiled, “I’m gonna go study or something…somewhere, sweet dreams Buffy.” Willow walked out the door and left Buffy there to sleep.
* * * * * * * * * * *
When Buffy opened her eyes, the sun had already gone down. She couldn’t believe she had slept that long. She didn’t even think she was all that tired. She got up and brushed her hair. It was time to go do what she did best. “Guess it’s time to go kill some vampires,” she said to herself.
She grabbed her usual things, her stake and her jacket, and went outside to patrol. She walked around for a while hoping to find a vampire to get her mind off of everything that happened with Angel. She was in luck. She found a group of vamps trying to attack a young girl about Buffy’s age. She ran to them as fast as she could and the fight began. It was a five on one battle but Buffy was confident she could take them without a problem. She didn’t take into account, however, that her emotions were all out of wake and it was making her lose the battle.
Usually she would have no problem with just five vamps but they had her cornered and she was completely out of breath. She was about to just make a run for it since she already got the innocent to safety, but then...help showed up.
“Mind if I crash this party?” a voice said as one of the vampires was lifted up and thrown across the yard.
