“I’m sorry about Prue,” said Angel getting the teapot of the stove, “She’s usually so much more collected.” He poured the tea.
“It’s alright, her mother Pheobe was the same way,” replied Prue’s father. He held out his hand, “By the way, I’m Cole Turner.”
“I’m Angel,” he said taking Cole’s hand and shaking it. The door opened and Doyle and Prue walked in hand-in-hand. Angel looked at their hands, and said to Doyle, “It’s about bloody time.”
“What can I say,” said Doyle, “You can love, lose, fight, and vanquish all before lunch; it takes me this long to ask a girl on a date. He held his other hand out to Cole, “Francis Doyle,” he said, “Doyle for short.”
“Cole Turner,” said Cole taking his hand and shaking it.
“Angel,” said Doyle, “I need to talk with you, in the office. Alone.” He and Angel went into Angel’s office and shut the door, leaving Cole and Prue alone in the main office.
Prue and Cole stared at each other for a minute. Cole stood up and walked over to her. After looking at her for a second, he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight. “It’s been too long my child.”
Prue shrugged out of his arms and pushed him away. “I told you I never wanted to see you again. I’ve chosen to protect the innocent, not harm them. There’s nothing you can do to change that.” She walked to the window and stared at the street below. “What do you want?” she asked crossing her arms and hugging herself.
“I need your help,” said Cole walking over to her, “I want to become human, mortal.” He placed his hand on her hair. “but I don’t want you to become the Source in my place.”
“Alright,” she consented, “What do we need to do?”
He pulled her to him and she hugged him back this time. Stroking her hair he whispered, “That’s just it. I don’t know.”
“I’ll get Doyle and Angel,” she said releasing him as she walked to the office door.
