"You're sure you're ok?" Buffy asked Spike the next night.
"I'm fine Buffy. You don't have to worry about me. Plenty of fish in the sea or whatever it is you people say."
"Ok, you're sure though?"
"Buffy don't you have to be somewhere?"
"Dah! Right Bye."
She was meeting Angel at the fire pit. There was a public bon fire that night.
"Hey Buffy."
"Hey."
"I got you a hot chocolate."
"Thanks. So is this your first time up here?"
"Yeah, it's actually my first time with snow."
"Really?"
"Born and raised L.A. boy."
"Wow, as annoying as it can be I can't picture a christmas without snow."
"I'm looking forward to that part the most. Is Dawn your only sister?"
"Yep, it's just me and her. You have any brothers or sisters other then Connor?"
"A little sister. Kathy."
"How old is she?"
"Seven. She really wanted to come, but mom wouldn't let her."
"She annoying?"
"Sometimes, but we take care of her more then ignore her."
"I know what you mean. Dawn's barely a year younger then me, she's my best friend as much as Willow is."
"I saw you talking to Spike earlier, is he ok?"
"Yeah. just don't ask him that question. I kinda over did it myself. He was just...being Spike."
"Ah the old 'just being Spike' phrase. I know it well."
Buffy and Angel laughed.
"What do you do for fun up here?"
"Mostly we ski. Snowboarding isn't my specialty. We live in a small town, so there's a little bit of shopping, but nothing big."
"Do you ever wish you didn't live on a mountain?"
"Sometimes."
"Recently?"
Buffy nodded, "Bad break-up."
"What happened?"
