A/N: You won't be finding out who Buffy ends it with until tomorrow. My very special cliff hanger.
Buffy woke up in bed. Her room had been cleaned and there was a note on her nightstand. She picked it up and read it,
Hope you slept well. Your parents left. When you read this, come downstairs, I have a surprise for you.
Buffy slowly got out of bed while still reading it. A surprise? What kind? She went into her bathroom and brushed her hair and teeth. Then fixed up her make-up and headed downstairs. It was dark outside and there were dim lights on downstairs. She saw another note at the top of the staircase banister:
Follow the petals.
Buffy looked at the stairs, there were red rose flower petals going all he way down. She held both notes in her hand and walked downstairs, being careful not to step on any petals.
On the last step there was another not with flower petals surrounding it:
Turn left, towards the living room.
Suddenly, slow jazz started playing throughout the entire house. How did Angel do all this? I wasn't sleeping that long was I?
She turned left and the music grew louder. A note was sitting on a small end table:
Meet me in the dining room.
Buffy turned down the other hall that led to the dining room and started walking a little faster. She went into the dining room where the source of the music was, along with a large vase with two dozen red roses in it. There was a note on the table.
Surprise.
She turned around and there he was. The one who did all this. She was glad it was him who did all of this. She needed to tell him something,"I can't do this. It's over between us. I love him, not you."Buffy turned and ran upstairs, crusing the petals along the way, along with his heart.
