Part Three

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rinnnnnnng! Rinnnnnnng!

"Come on, answer," Willow said, frustrated. There was no answer at Buffy's house. Willow was still feeling odd , but she realized that something was wrong. She had to get a hold of Buffy.

"Damn it, answer!"

Knowing that no one would, Willow grabbed her jacket and headed for Buffy's.

* * *
Smoke filled the air of the cheap bar. The pretty brunnette choked on the heavy air when she entered the less than descent establishment.

"He's gotta be here somewhere," Ms. Calendar thought as she made her way through the bar looking for Giles. Many of the men seated at the counter made eyes at her. She ignored them until one brut just had to say something.

"Hey sweetie, what do ya say," asked the rather large man sitting at the end of the bar, " You and me. Ya know what I mean? " Then he whisteled at her.

Ms. Calendar didn't say a word, she only smiled. When no one else was looking at the man, an extraordinary thing happened. The man's mug of beer mysteriously floated above him, and emptied itself all over the man's face.

" What the hell!" the man exclaimed, shocked by what had just happened.

As she passed the man, heading for the back of the bar, Calendar could barely contain her laughter. * God! This is Fun!*

As she approached the back of the room she heard some loud singing, or what was suppose to BE singing. It was more like hearing an animal suffering in pain.... and when she saw who was singing, Calendar realized it was.

There Giles stood onto of a table, half wasted, singing " 99 bottles of Beer on the Wall".

Calendar smiled, " Hi Giles."

Giles stopped his singing and looked down at her. " Babe, " he exclaimed in a slurred British accent, that Ms. Calendar found rather humorous. He smiled widely at her and winked, " What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?"

"Save the sweet talk, Romeo. We have a problem..."

Giles glanced at the empty bottle he was holding, " Yes we do. It's empty."

He peered into the bottle and then tried to get every last drop out of it.

"Oh god," Calendar said with a giggle, " This is too much! Okay Giles, listen. We have to get you out of here. I think something's wrong."

"Come on, " she continued, helping him off the table. " I'll drive."

Giles then threw his hands up and started to sing again. " Life is a highway! I wanna drive it all night long! "

"Giles!"

He stopped and looked at her.

"Shut up," Calendar said as she lead the watcher out the door.

* * *
Xander rushed back to Buffy's house. She wasn't at the Bronze. Nor were Angel or Cordelia, something was very wrong here. He pounded on her front door.

"Buffy! Open the door, it's Xander."

No response.

He knocked harder and yelled louder, not caring if he woke the neighbors.

"Buffy! Buff-"

"She's not here," asked a voice behind him.

He turned to see Willow, who was still acting slightly whigged.

"Would you do that for me," she asked almost timidly. Her eyes locked onto his.

Confusion swept over Xander, " Willow what is up with you? Why do you-"

"Because I want to know," she said , while using her hands to emphasize the statment, " Is that so much to ask? Do you still love her?"

Xander ran a hand through his dark hair and let out a sigh. " Willow something's wrong, we need to find them. "

"Fine. Forget I even asked. Where do you think they went?"

Xander shrugged.

A voice from the darkness starteled them....

"I don't think they went anywhere, willingly that is, " the voice had a heavy British accent.

"Giles, Ms. Calendar, " Willow exclaimed.

Giles held at cup of coffee in one hand and was steadying himself with the other by holding onto Calendar's shoulder. He was still drunk, but less loopy then before. He had one hell of a headache.

"Amazing what a good cup of strong coffe will do, " Giles said.

Ms. Calendar raised her eyebrows, " Yeah, whatever. What happened?"

Xander shook his head, " They're gone. Buffy, Angel, Cordelia.....they said to meet them at the Bronze but ....."

Willow looked at Giles. The old Willow was coming back, and she was scared for her friends. " Giles, do you think that maybe , you know, some vampires have got them? This being Sunnydale and all?"

Giles nodded, " It's very possible."

"Well we need to find them," Willow said anciously.

Giles noticed something different about the young hacker. It was the manner in which she was dressed.

"Uh, Willow. If you don't mind my asking, what are you wearing? "

Confused, Willow looked down at the black dress and sighed, " Not you too."

I mean it looks like I'm not the only one that um....had problems," Giles continued.

Willow turned to Xander, but he averted her eyes.

"Ahem!"

Giles, Willow, and Xander turned to Ms. Calendar. " Okay enough chit chat, we need to find the others."

"How do we do that," Willow asked while trying in vain to get her hair out of the bobby pins and hairspray it took to hold her 'do.

Ms. Calendar smiled, " I know the way...."

Giles eyed her, " Really?"

"Yup. Um, you know how all you guys went kinda nuts. Well I had a delayed reaction, but got some super powers. Pretty Cool, huh?"

Giles looked more confused now, " Super powers?"

Calendar decided she'd have to prove it. " Watch the door."

Giles, Xander, and Willow ( who was still playing with her hair), looked at the front door. It was closed. But all of a sudden it flew open, but before hitting the wall it gently swung shut.

The others stood astonished....then Xander broke the silence. " Cool!"

Calendar smiled again. " Come on," she said to Giles, " We need suplies." She walked toward the house.

"Supplies."

"It's our turn to save the day."

The two adults went into the house and upstars to get what they need from Buffy's room, leaving Willow and Xander alone.

They stood in silence, well, except for the faint tearing of hair as Willow tried to get the bobby pins out.

God, she thought, He won't even talk to me. How could I do something so stupid? What was I think-

Her thoughts were interrupted by the feeling of two hands on her shoulders.

Willow stood still with fright for a momment, but then realized she knew those hands. They were Xander's.

"Let me help, " He whispered softly in her left ear.

He gently extracted the bobby pins from her red hair, careful not to tear her hair.

A few senconds later her hair fell to her shoulders, curling slightly from being up most of the night.

Xander looked at her thoughtfully. " Willow I'm sorry- I mean, we, I shouldn't have, um ...oh boy." He sat down on the front step with his head in his hands.

Willow sat down next to him. She smiled and took his hand in hers. " It's okay. I mean you can't control what the moon does to you. We can just put it behind us, okay?"

With that she gave Xander a hug, and turned to go inside. " Put it behind us"... Who am I kidding?

When Xander heard Willow's footsteps on the stairs he got up and took a deep breath. Then he whispered, " 'Put it behind us'....oh boy..."

* * *
Voices...she could heard voices, but she couldn't see anything.

Someone was on each side of her. God, where am I? she thought. Could this be a dream? Someone next to her rustled and hit her arm. Suddenly the darkness that surrounded her started to fade into a sort of grayish color, the grayish color into a white light. Objects were now recognizible. And finally Buffy could see.

She was in a type of warehouse. The light in the warehouse came from candles that were everywhere. Buffy noticed that her hands and feet were tied. She found Cordelia lying next to her unconcious. On her other side Angel was moaning, the black and blue mark on his head seemed to be the source of this.

He turned to see Buffy awake.

"Are you alright," she asked him, nodding to the bruse on his head.

"Yeah, but I don't think any of us will be okay if we don't get out of here."

"I'm open to any suggestions. Where are all the vampires? Why didn't they kill us yet?"

"Are you saying you wish they had," he asked sarcastically, " They want you to suffer, Buffy. You killed The Master. They aren't gonna let you die easily. They'll probably kill me and Cordelia first, so they can watch you suffer."

"Oh goody, something to look forward to," she joked, her tone even. She looked into his ethereal eyes and couldn't stand the thought of watching him die...

Cordelia moved on the other side of Buffy, " God what happened?"

Buffy turned to Cordelia, " Shhhhhhh! We're trying to find a way out of-"

Buffy didn't finish the sentence. Her eyes widened as she saw the vampires emerge from the corners of the warehouse.

She saw a child coming towards them. He walked over to Buffy and used his hands to turn her so that she was facing him, " Tonight you die. Revenge is sweet, don't you think?"

Buffy spit in the vampire's face, the hatred was evident in her eyes.

"Go to hell," she hissed.

The annointed one only smiled, " But before I kill you, we're going to have some fun."

* * *
"Are you sure this is the place," Giles asked.

"Have a little faith, why don't you," Calendar said.

She analysized the building that stood before her, then nodded.

"This is it," she said as she walked toward the metal doors that led inside.

Giles grabbed her arm, " Haven't you got a plan!? "

Willow and Xander stared at the adults, each holding a stake and a cross.

Ms. Calendar looked at Giles and smiled. " I have a plan.... we're going to kill them. Sounds good to me atleast."

She released her arm from his grip and started towards the door again.

"Jennie," Giles called her by her first name, " Don't you think that you're being rather zealous? I mean you can't just walk into a room full of vampires and kill them all!"

"Well then since you seem to have a plan already formulated, why don't you share?"

"All right then..." Giles started.

* * *
Two of the vampires grabbed a struggling Angel. Buffy closed her eyes, tears welling up. She had to do something, and fast. She tried to free her hands , but she was still weak. She keep trying, but her efforts were fruitless.

The vampires put Angel on a table and restrained his arms and legs. The Annointed One walked towards Angel and dangeled a cross on a string over the vampire. Angel growled.

"You're a tratior. You are one of us, yet you shun your own kind. Treson is a serious crime, Angelous." Angel did not say a word. The Anointed let the cross fall from his hands onto Angel's chest. Angel flinched, then groaned in pain. The cross burned his flesh, smoke rose up from around it. The Annointed just smiled.

Cordelia voiced protest, " Stop it! Stop!" But it was to no avail. Angel screamed as the pain in his chest grew. Buffy could no longer stand it and cried out, " Angel!!!"

Suddenly something caught Buffy's eye from across the warehouse. It was Ms. Calendar. She didn't seem afraid, and she just walked towards Angel.

The Annointed cried to his minions," Get her!!"

Three vampires ran towards Ms. Calendar. She did not slow her pace, but suddenly the vampires froze in their tracks. Ms. Calendar pushed past them.

"Idiots! Grab her," The Annointed cried. But the vampires did not move. Xander, Willow, and Giles surfaced from the shadows of the warehouse and put the vampires out of their misery.

Willow sneezed as the dust flew by her face, then she and Xander rushed towards Buffy.

The other vampires stood dumbstruck as Jennie approached Angel. None of them knew what to do, who was this woman?

"Who are you," the Annointed voiced the question on all the vampires minds.

Before she reached down to free Angel she turned to the Annointed and smiled.

"Your worst nightmare," Calendar answered. Then she started to untie Angel.

The Annointed looked around at the other vampires in frustration, " Just don't stand there! Kill her!"

Ms. Calendar laughed, then turned to face the attacking vampires. She tried to stop them in their tracks as she had wit the other vampires, but something was wrong.

The vampires came closer to her. She laughed again, only this time it was a nervous laugh, Hey guys, why don't we work somthin' out."

The vampires came closer...

BAM! BOOM! Two of the vampires were thrown into the air. Ms. Calendar turned to see Buffy standing by her side.

Buffy turned to the Annointed One and smiled, " Guess what? I feel better, but you won't when I'm done."

The vampires attacked, but Buffy fended them off. Angel joined in and soon all the vampires had either run away, or lie as dust on the floor.

The Annointed had also escaped.

"Is everyone all right," Giles asked.

"Yeah, I think we're okay," Buffy said looking at everyone.

"HEY!!! HEY! Would someone get their butt over here and untie me," Cordelia shouted from the other end of the warehouse.

Willow sighed and ran a hand through her hair, " I guess the old Cordelia's back. Everyone's their old selves again, right?"

The others nodded.

"HEEEEEEYYYY! Would one of you losers hurry up! This rope is going to give me hives!!"

Xander turned to the other, " Can we just leave her here?"

Buffy grinned and then walked over to untie Cordelia. * And Finally, the nightmare ends," she thought to herself.

* * *
He sighed and closed his deep brown eyes, wishing that he were somewhere else. Then he spotted her. Her auburn hair set afire in the sunlight and her smile brightened up the already sunny day.

She looked towards him and her smile faded. She didn't want to be here right now, she'd given anything to be somewhere else.

"Willow," Xander called to her meakly.

She walked over to him and gave him a half smile, " Hey, how are you?"

"Um....okay...you?"

"Fine."

The tension could have been cut by a knife.

Xander ran a hand through his hair. Willow figeted nervously.

"Look, um," they both started. They both laughed, breaking some of the tension.

"Go ahead," Willow urged.

"Well I just wanted to say about ....you know. That I didn't- I mean..."

"Yeah I know," she said nervously.

Then came the dreaded moment of awkward silence. Someone came up to Willow and Xander, but niether noticed until the person said something.

"Well we're a lively bunch this morning," Buffy said when she saw the two of them sort of staring of into space.

"Buffy! Buffy," Xander exclaimed.

"Yes! It's good,um... that you're here, " Willow exclaimed.

Buffy's eyebrows shot up, " Weird much? So you guys okay? No more irrational behavior?"

Xander and Willow looked at each other, then at Buffy.

" I'm sorry," Both exclaimed at the same time.

Xander nodded, " Yeah, um.... I acted... badly. God! Why can't you pick parts of your life and repress them?"

"Buffy , I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything I said, you know that right? Because with the whole moon thing I went kinda nuts. And ....did I mention I'm sorry?"

Buffy laughed, " Well atleast we know you guys are back to normal. Whatever that is."

* * *
Ms. Calendar sighed , " Well atleast this won't happen again for a long, long time."

Giles look up from his book. He was dressed in his usual tweed jacket again. There was no more earring, no more leather jacket, just Giles.

" Yes. I think I'd prefer the library to a life on the edge."

Ms. Calendar grinned and moved closer to him, " Hey Giles, what'd you do with the motorcycle?"

He looked at her slightly perplexed, " Why do you ask?"

"Oh, no reason."

"Well, I'm trying to sell it."

Her grin widened, " That's too bad." Calendar started walking from the library.

Giles turned around and started towards her, " Well it isn't sold yet, you know. "
