Story Text: Spike, also known as William the Bloody, is an approximately 130 year old vampire, once part of the ‘scourge of Europe’ which included himself, his sire Drusilla, her sire Angelus, and his sire Darla. They wreaked havoc on Europe, until a mob in Prague forces Spike to go to Sunnydale, in search of help for Drusilla (his lover). Spike was born in the mid-1800’s and sired by Drusilla in 1880. In life he was known for his “bloody awful poetry” and as a vampire he procured the name Spike by torturing his victims with rail-road spikes. His only known motives are violence and greed, or love for his sire, until he falls in love with Buffy. He has all the normal vampire powers, super human strength, acute hearing, sight and smell, agility and stamina. Spike has killed two Slayers in the past. One in the Boxer Rebellion at the beginning of the 1900’s and another in New York (Robin Woods mother Niki) in the 1980’s. Spike is approximately 6’0, with blue eyes, platinum blonde hair and an athletic body build. He is just as violent as any other vampire until season 4, when the Initiative puts a “behavior modification’ chip in his brain, causing him severe pain when he attempts to bite, or in any way harm a human. He *thru his need for violence* semi-joins the Slayer and her friends, in the fight against demons *which he can still hurt and kill, even with his chip* He finds he has a crush on Buffy in Season 5, and finally admits it to her in the episode “Crush” (5.14). Spike assumes a fatherly type role for Dawn after Buffy’s death in “The Gift” (5.22). In Season 6 he has an intimate “relationship” with Buffy, the current Slayer in Sunnydale, which ends with him attempting to rape her and then going to get his soul. Season 7 starts off with Spike being crazy and under the control of the first, with a newly acquired soul that he got for Buffy’s sake. The First continues to use Spike until Wood, unintentionally, forces Spike to face his problems with his mother in the episode “Lies my Parents Told Me” (7.17). Spike sacrifices himself at the end of season 7 in the episode “Chosen” (7.22), but reappears in a non-corporeal state on the first episode of Angel Season 5. Spike’s status is currently unknown, he was last seen fighting a very extensive horde of demons, in the episode of AtS "Not Fade Away" (5.22).

A/N: If you have any specific questions geared towards Spike or any of the episodes he has appeared in, review to this chapter or email me at: rachay87@hotmail.com -Thanks!
