Welcome to The Demon Dictionary, a collection of biographies and definitions of demons, vampires, monsters and villains as seen in the popular television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.
The entries in this dictionary may be contributed by anyone who has done sufficient research to know their subject. I would ask that no entries be biased and all definitions and descriptions be based solely on information taken directly from the series (citing episodes if possible) unless the villain is your own creation, in which case it is your discretion. Please proofread your entries carefully before submitting them, as your definition may be the definitive resource on the character/species for this site.
While The Demon Dictionary is not intended primarily for entertainment (it was designed to hasten the research necessary for including a classic villain in a story), feel free to peruse the entries for inspiration or just for fun.
Remember that the creator of The Demon Dictionary has the final say on all entries and may edit or add supplementary material if it seems necessary or if reader feedback demands it. Please try to keep the format as standard as possible so that those using the dictionary know what to expect when looking up a character.
