Buffy woke up alone the next morning. She was used to it though. She sucked in a breath of air and whispered, "Sunday breakfast." She jumped out of bed and ran downstairs, "I knew it." Angel was standing in front of the stove cooking sausage and eggs.
"Morning. It's almost ready." Buffy went out into the living room and threw herself onto the couch and turned on the TV, "Boring, boring, boring, cartoons. Perfect." She stretched out and yawned," Where are your parents?"
"They went out to breakfast, just the two of them." Angel informed her, bringing out two plates
"Oh. How was the movie?"
"I don't know. About ten minutes after you fell asleep I turned it off. You were just so cute, I couldn't bare to push you off the bed."
Buffy kicked him, "Haha. This is really good. Where did you learn to cook?"
"In the same Home Ec. class you did. I just did better."
"It's not my fault I'm not good at cooking. That teacher sucked." Buffy complained.
"I did just fine." Angel bragged.
"Oh, shut up!" Buffy threw a sausage patty at him and laughed. He threw a piece of egg at her. They kept throwing food at each other until there was nothing left, "I have to shower and get dressed. Don't come into the bathroom." Buffy said dusting the food off of herself.
"Well, that was gonna be the highlight of my day, but if you insist."
"Such a gentlemen. “Buffy said sarcastically and ran back up the stairs.
Angel started picking up the food and his cell phone rang, "Hello?"
"Hey, Angel man."
"Hey Finn." Angel replied glancing up the stairs.
"What are you doing today?"
"Nothing too much. Just hangin' out. Why?"
"The guys were gonna get together and practice for the big game tomorrow. We need everyone at the school by noon. Who you hangin' out with anyways?"
"I think I can make it."
"No, you can make it. Who are you hangin' out with?" Riley repeated his question.
"She's in the shower."
"She? Did you score last night?"
"No. We just watched scary movies, and she crashed here."
"Summers?"
"You know it."
"Dude, she is hot. How can you be in the same room with her and let alone the same bed and not want to hit it?"
"Cause I've known her since like, we were infants. She's just a friend." He explained.
"You kiss her! How can you kiss her? Friends don't kiss. Do we kiss? I don't think so! Do girls kiss each other? Yes, but that's a girl thing. Girls and guys that are friends do not sleep in the same bed and kiss without feeling something."
"Me and Buffy do. Yes, she is gorgeous, but, she's Buffy. Buffy my best friend that is like my sister. Buffy, the girl who can't cook for her life. Buffy that is drop dead sexy. Buffy, that--"
"You're clearly sprung over." Riley told him.
"No! I'll meet you at the school. I'll have to bring Buffy though."
"It's cool. We could use some sexy motivation."
"Bye."
"Bye." Buffy came skipping down the stairs all dressed and ready. She was wearing a red halter top, a jean mini, and red flip-flops.
"How do I look?" She asked, trying to strike a model pose.
"Ugh." Angel said putting on a fake disgusted face.
"Oh come on. Can you be real for a second? I wouldn't even let my parents see it. I want to know what the first person who sees me in it really thinks."
"You look very sexy. I have to go to practice though."
Buffy put her hands on her hips, "You're lucky I'm not the jealous type. I'd think you had another date. "Buffy joked.
"I'm taking you with me. Riley's exact words were, 'We could use some sexy motivation'."
"Riley?! I'm ready!" Buffy said excitedly grabbing her purse.
"Let's go." Angel said offering his arm.

The two pulled up to the back of the school and stepped out of the car. They walked onto the field hand in hand and Buffy lowered her sunglasses, "Hey boys." She said sweetly.
All of the boys hooted and hollered, "You just can't help but make a scene can you?" Angel whispered.
"You know me." Buffy gave him a quick kiss on the lips, "Good luck."
"Buffy, can I get one of those for luck?" Gunn asked her.
"Sure, come here." Gunn ran across the field and over to Buffy. She grabbed his chin and kissed him softly on the lips but then pushed him away, "Be gone!"
“Can I get one of those, pet?” William asked her shortly followed by the rest of the guys on the team. Angel rolled his eyes and Buffy shrugged.
“Nope. Charles was the first to ask and he got one. The only one.”
“Oh come on. Angel got one.” Parker complained.
“That’s because he’s Angel. I am not a kissing slut.” Buffy said folding her arms over her chest.
“Can I have one?” Riley asked walking forward. Buffy thought she would melt. Riley was talking to her!
“I guess I can make one exception.” Buffy stood up and gave him a small kiss on the lips. He pulled her body closer to his and deepened the kiss. Buffy heard the other boys groaning and decided to end it, “Good luck.”
After a few minutes of watching the boys practice, Buffy decided to call a couple of the girls on the squad, ”Hi Mrs. Chase. Is Cordelia home? Hey Cordy. Do you wanna come out to the school? I’m sitting here all by myself watching these boys practice and I could really use some company. Cool. Okay. See you in a few. Bye.” Buffy hung up the phone and dialed another number, ”Darla? Hey. It’s Buffy. I’m watching the boys practice for the big game tomorrow and I thought the squad could do a few drills. Yeah. Yes, Angel’s here. Okay. I’ll see you soon. Bye.” Buffy finished calling Willow, Lilah, Anya, Faith, Kendra, and Tara and within the next few minutes, everyone was there.
“I thought you said something about practice.” Lilah said annoyed.
“I did.” Buffy told her.
“Then why is Darla staring Angel down like a slab of beef?”
“Because he is just so hot.” Darla said lustily, ”And you! Always kissing him! How can you not feel anything for him? I heard that you two even sleep in the same bed sometimes.”
“We do. We did last night. That’s the only reason I came here.” Buffy said and everyone gaped at her, ”What? He’s my best friend. I so don’t think of him that way. Yes, he is yummy but, I just don’t see him that way. And he doesn’t se me that way.”

After practice everyone got in their cars and left. Except for Angel, Buffy, and Riley. Angel and Riley were talking about something football when Riley walked over to Buffy and she stood up, ”Hey. Good practicing.”
“Thanks. I was wondering if you were busy next Friday. Well, the coming Friday.”
“No. Why?”
“I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me.” Buffy’s heart started to race when he said this.
“Yeah. I mean, sure. I’ll go on a date with you.”
“Good. So I’ll pick you up around eight.” Riley turned and walked to his car. Buffy watched him pull off.
“Great. A date at eight. Oh my God. Am I the dumbest person alive?” She asked Angel.
“No. But, you got your date.”
“I know! Riley likes me! Riley, likes me! Nothing can bring me down.”
