Buffy and Angel walked through the park holding hands. It was a really nice day and the teens needed to get out of their houses. They had been friends for as long as Buffy could remember and they agreed never to be more than that because it would ruin their friendship,"So, what are we doing tonight? Popcorn and a movie?"Buffy asked, watching the pidgeons scatter.
"Ditch the popcorn and I"ll order pizza."angel replied looking down at her. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Cool. Peperoni and extra cheese?"
"Yep, the usual. Are you renting or are we watching a movie from your collection?"
"I was thinking we rent. But I don't really wanna hang out at my house tonight, I was thinking we go to your house instead."
"Cool. What movie do you want me to rent?"
"Something scary. Like, The Exorsist, Carrie, and The Texas Chainsaw Massicre."
"Those were some scary movies. I recall watching The Exorsist when we were 13 and you got so scared that you had to sleep with me that night."Angel laughed and Buffy playfully hit him.
"Shut up! You can't mention that O' Connor! You were a big, strong man back then."
"Back then?"
"And now. But, I recall you holding me like a teddy bear you were so scared."
"It wasn't because I was scared. It was because you were a girl in my bed."
"Oh whatever. Anyways, I gotta go get my stuff ready for tonight."Buffy said letting go of his hand.
"You planning a sleepover?"Angel asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Only if it comes down to it. Besides, I might need a big strong man. So, you go rent the movies, I'll let my mom know where I'm gonna be tonight and i'll be at your house around six."
"Okay. bye."
"bye."Buffy gave him a peck on the lips and skipped off.
The two never took their kisses as more than they were. It was a friend thing.

Buffy knocked on Angel's door, ten after six. His mom opened it and greeted her with open arms,"Hey Mrs. O' Connor. Is Angel upstairs?"
"Yes. And how many times do I have to tell you, it's Lorrilie."
"Sorry. Hey Mr. O' Connor."Buffy called into the large family room.
"Hello Buffy."He replied sweetly, but not looking up from his newspaper.
Buffy waved and went upstairs. She walked into Angel's room without knocking and saw him spraying on collone,"Got a hot date that I don't know about?"
"Oh! Hey Buffy. You're late."
"I'm sorry. My mom gave me the whole, 'you're teenagers with raging hormones so be careful.' talk. Then I practically had to beat my dad into letting me go."
"I got the same talk from my parents. I got all three movies though."
"Good. which one do you want to watch first?"
"It's not even dark yet. Besides, i want the pizza t o get here first."
"Okay. How long until it does get here?"
"About fourty-five minutes."
"Cool. Then I guess we talk about Darla. She was totally checking you out yesterday in class."
"I don't like her. Yes she is hot , but she's dumb as a doornail."
"True. What do you think of Riley?"
"Finn? The guy on the football team with me?"
"Yeah."Buffy said biting her lower lip,"I mean, he is your friend."
"He's I don't know. I don't judge guys."Angel said awkwardly.
"I think he's cute. And he's nice, and smart. I think he likes me too."
"Hmm."
"Hmm, what?"Buffy asked sitting on his bed.
"He's a jerk."
"Whatever."Buffy pulled Angel down next to her and sat on his lap,"Remember the school play?"
"Yes. How could I forget? You were Juliet and I was Romeo. That was so weird."
"Yeah. But, it was the sixth grade."
"Yep. that kiss killed me."
"And me!"
"True."

Later that night
"Ahhh!!!"Buffy screamed and jumped as the hand shot out of the dirt.
"Hahahaha."Angel laughed at her.
"Shut up. That was scary."
"Alright. It was scary. I'll put in The Exorsist now. Are you ready?"
"Yes, but you have to hold me."She laughed.
"Okay."Angel put the movie in and went back up to the head of the bed. Buffy layed down on his chest and pulled the covers up over them. She was wearing red shorts and a white tank top, he was wearing shorts.
About thirty minutes into the movie, Buffy had fallen asleep. Angel was getting tired so he turned off the TV. Buffy snuggled up closer to him and he stroaked her hair. She was gorgeous even when she was sleeping.
