Ah...the dreaded writers block, enemy of 'in the groove' writers as you put it. I have often times been writing in a fury, only to SLAM into that wall.
It's hard to recover from the impact, but there is hope! I either turn on some music that I can write to, or just close my eyes for a few minutes, and think about what I'm trying to do.
If I'm writing fan fiction, I go and watch a favorite episode or two of the show, and then go back to my computer and start up the typing again.
Also, sometimes it's not so much writers' block, as your fingers want to revert back to the times of pencils and paper. I will sometimes get out a notepad and a pencil, and continue writing on the notepad. It actually helps sometimes.
I hope you get back your muse, or fight the dreaded writers block back into it's dark home, because I'm sure you have some good stories to contribute to SFA.
In deepest hope of your quick recovery -Marissa
