There are a lot of fics I would like to see as Spin offs. I think anything from Film Theory or Summersfan would be good. My personal favorites for spin-offs for Spin offs are Faith and Spike, I'd also love to see Connor, Dana, Illyira, and Gwen Raiden again.
I don't know if a lot of fics would work as actual show spin-offs bc of the actors and contracts available. I REALLY hope to see Faith again in reality, but it doesn't seem to be a sure thing.
I am very picky about Faith-fics because I think its hard for people to get her voice just right. She is not just a one dimensional bad ass. She has changed a lot since the early days, and many people don't pick up on that. She is a Slayer that has the morals of the Angel gang which are a lot more hard hitting and complex than the morals of Buffy & the scoobie gang.
Anyway, I am babbling. Fics I would say are good spin offs are:
Ones by film theory and Summersfan both of these guys do ensemble but are heavy on Faith, Spike, Connor involvement so of course I LOVE them! Summer's does an excellent Xander too.
Three Deep by Tea at the Ford Ensemble really EVERYONE will be in this
Soul Survivor by a lot of people Ensemble but mostly Spike, Buffy and Xander
The Watchers By a group of peeps Ensemble but NO Buffy, Angel or Spike (Mostly Willow, Kennedy, Giles, Faith and Robin Wood but good OCs)
I also have mine:
Forget Me Not and More or Less by Strange Bint
It's a Spike/Faith with ensemble but mostly Connor, Angel, Kennedy, and Wes.
It has a big Robin Wood/Faith/Spike triangle which is something I'd love to see in a show.
but it takes place after "chosen" so it couldn't be "real" spin off. I think if there was an actual Spin off Joss would be the boss in structuring it.
