Everyone had eventually gotten down to the beach and the guys immediatly started throwing the football. Riley was pasing it to Angel but he missed it and landed face up on Buffy's towel. She had caught the ball without even looking,"Damn, Summers!"Riley exclaimed,"We need a catcher like you on our team, not Angel here."
Buffy giggled and handed the ball to Angel,"I have really good reflexes."She whispered to him then looked up at Riley,"Or maybe you need a quarterback who knows how to aim." she raised one eyebrow and smiled at him while everyone laughed.
"Th-thanks."Angel studdered.
"Well, your pride was hurt, I had to say something."He tried to stand but wobbled and fell back down,"Are you alright? Didn't hurt you noggin in any way did ya?"
"I don't know. Do you mind if I rest here for a minute and pull myself together?"
"Sure. I'm not doin' nothin' but tanning. I was gonna get in the water in a minute any ways. do you want to join when I do?"She offered.
Angel looked back at Riley and mouthed,"Told ya."Then turned back to Buffy,"Sure."
She got up and dusted the sand off of her and looked up to see Riley bolting at her. He grabbed her legs and threw her over his shoulder,"Hey!" He turned and ran for the water. When he was out far enough, he dropped her but she grabbed hima nd he fell in with her.
"Damn."Angel whispered.

After about two hours of swimming, the ten teens went back to the house. Dawn and Connor were talking and it seemed like Dawn really liked him and vice versa.
Willow and Oz were holding hands, they obviously hit it off. Cordelia was riding on Xander's back and talking his ear off but he seemed to enjoy every minute of it. Darla and Angel were talking but he looked a little bored but intersted at the same time.
Riley and Buffy were in the back of the group, they had their arms linked but it was more friendly not romantic,"So, Finn. Where you from?"
"Origanilly, Iowa but I live in Miami with the folks now. They let me come up here for the summer and they went to explore europe. It was eiter this, or go up to New York to stay with my aunt and uncle."
"Well, I'm glad you chose this."Buffy smiled at him. There was something about her smile that was mysterious but welcoming at the same time.
"How 'bout you? where are you from?"
"Umm...I was born in L.A. but I live in Sunnydale with my mom. My dad left us a little while back. That's why we moved to Sunnydale. She wanted to move to little old Mobile but this town is just too small for me. Don't get me wrong, Sunnydale is a one Starbucks town but it's bigger than this."
"Oh."He was processing all the new info.
"Yep, my life story in a nutshell. Lord, it's hot. Do you know what time it is?"
"I guess about three or three-thirty but I don't have a watch."
"Right. We're almost home though.I am totally craving some of Jenny's famous iced mocha's. If I know her, they'll be waiting for us when we get there."
"Eee. Coffee."
"What? You don't like coffee?"Buffy asked him in a faux shocked tone.
"Nah,"He replied,"Stunts the growth." He grabbed her hand and she turned to face him. Just then, Angel looked and saw him plant a kiss on her lips. Anger, jealousy, and rage flooded through him and he did the same to Darla.
Riley pulled away from her and she quietly said,"I have a boyfriend."
"Oh."He looked hurt and disappointed.
"Sorry."She rushed ahead of the group and went straight to her's and Darla's room to change.
