Willow and Xander were searching all over town for Werewolf Oz. What the found was a mauled body in the middle of the woods. Willow looked horrified at the sight of the corpse. She collapsed into Xander's arms. "This is so horrible," she said. "I know. Do you think Oz did it?" he asked. "I don't know," Willow said. "I hope not." "These wounds look like they're from a werewolf," Xander said, examining the body. "We have to find him," Willow said. Meanwhile, Angel, who, along with Cordelia,had found Ethan Rayne, was beating the crap out of him. "What did you do to Buffy?" he said angrily. "Not telling," Ethan said. Angel responded by kicking him. "I'll never talk," Ethan said. Angel "vamped out". When Ethan saw him, he figured what might happen to him if he didn't start talking. "All right, all right. It's a memory loss spell," Ethan told them. "It was supposed to wear off soon, but I messed up the spell. Made the memory loss period more permenant that it should have been." "What about the demon who attacked me and Cordelia?" Angel said. "Oh, he was just making sure you were out of the way. Miss Chase was just in the wrong place at the wrong time." Ethan responded. "And the ritual?" Angel asked. "Fake. Meant to throw you off to keep you from figuring out what I was up to," he said. "Get the Slayer alone, use the memory loss spell on her, get my revenge on her and Ripper. Who do you think lured him out of town?" Ethan said. Angel grabbed him and dragged his ass back to the library to meet Willow and Xander, Cordelia following closely. Meanwhile, Xander and Willow found Oz. "What should we do?" Willow asked Xander, her voice full of panic. Before he could answer, Werewolf Oz lunged at them and then suddenly fell to the ground. He had been shot by Angel, who was dragging Ethan Rayne behind him. "I got him," Angel told them. "He used the spell on Buffy and messed up her memory permenantly." "What should we do with him?" Xander said. "Let's deal with Oz first," Willow said. They dragged the werewolf and Ethan back to the library. "So Buffy's never gonna get better?" Cordelia asked. "I don't know," Angel said.
