"Where did he go?"Willow asked looking around.
"You think we know?!?God,this house is full of stupid people."Cordielia said rubbing her forehead.
"Well you're one to talk miss I-failed-P.E.How do you fail P.E.?"Willow spat at her.
"That has nothing to do with thinking dummy." Cordielia spat back.
"Guys that's enough!"Darla shouted,"Fighting isn't goning to get us anywhere.Right now we need to find the rest of the guys.If we don't,we'll just be in more danger."She tapped her foot against the hard wood floor and there was a thump upstairs,"Angel!"She shouted grabbing onto him.
"It's okay.I'm still here.Um I'll go up first then you guys come up behind me."
"What about Buffy?"Willow asked looking at her.
"We'll have to leave her."
"Maybe that's what the killer wants us to do.I'll stay with her."
"No.We're all safer together."Cordielia piped up.
"Not buffy, stupid.I'll stay with her."
"Willow,that's not safe for both of you.Just come with us.Please."Darla begged her.
"No.I'm staying.Now go find out what that was." Everyone else nodded and went upstairs.Angel first, then Darla, then Cordielia.Willow sat down beside Buffy on the couch,looking behind her every once in a while and always saw nothing.
When the three of them got up the stairs,Angel opened every door and if it was cracked,pushed it open with his sword.there was another thump in one of the rooms down the hall,"He's in my room."Darla cried.
Angel walked to her bedroom and opened the door.There was no killer but three semiconciuous boys: Xander, Spike, and Oz,"Thank God!Xander!" Cordielia ran to himand threw her arms around him.
"Be careful.He might have a concusion."Darla warned but neiter Xander nor Cordielia cared. They continued making out. Spike huffed and looked away as he tried to push himself up.
"Spike, what the hell happened?"
"The guy knocked us out. Then he dragged us outside and some how brought us up here.He did it all pretty quick."
"The lights were out for a good fifteen minutes.Then we heard Buffy scream so we went downstairs.He must not be working alone."Darla informed them.
"Wait.Buffy got hurt?Where is she?Is she alright?Take me to her."Spike started to get up but didn't have much luck because he fell back over.
"Whoa,slow down Cujo.She fine.Willow's with her and she's kinda knocked out so she wouldn't really know you were there.And sorry to tell you, but she doesn't care how you are,why should you care how she is?" Cordielia asked as she sat with Xander in his arms.
"She's knocked out?!?You said she was fine!How can she possibly be fine?!?I need to see her.And I care, because I love her but you couldn't possibly know what any of that means."
"Hey I know what love is.I am full of love you big, dumb,jerk guy."
"Guys,lets just get back downstairs,okay."Angel started to walk out so everyone else just followed. Spike was the first one downstairs and by Buffy's side.
"Oz!You're alright.You are alright,right?"Willow asked hugging him then kissing him.
"Yeah.I'm fine as I can be.Hey,what's that?"He asked nodded toward a piece of paper.
"I don't know.It wasn't there a minute ago."Willow replied picking it up,"It's a note.From the killer."
"What is with him leaving notes?Does he want to torture us with paper cuts or something?"Cordielia asked pulling away ffrom Xander's lips.
"That doesn't matter."Willow replied,"And,that's stupid. Paper cuts?"
"Well what does it say Willow?"Darla asked looking at Spike.He was sitting right by Buffy.Holding her hand. His big, blue, soulfull eyes staring longingly at Buffy. He loves her so much,Darla thought,Why doesn't she see that?He never meant to hurt her.It was a bad time for everyone.I'll talk to her when she wakes up.If she wakes up.
I can't read it out loud.Everyone has to read it for themselves."She passed the paper to Darla.
It said:
Which of you four belongs to me?Only I hold the key.My legacy lives on in one of you,only I know who. Which room am i in?So many questions,so little time.
"Why couldn't you read this out loud Willow?"Cordielia asked her as she read the little slip of paper.
"I don't know.It's just,I can't help thinking it's,Buffy.Buffy is the one he's tsalking about.We don't even know what he means by belongs to me.It could mean anything.All I know is,we gotta get out of here.Because I really don't wanna find out."
"One of us is his daughter."Buffy woke up and everyone jumped at the sound of her voice.
"Buffy,you're awake!"Willow shouted.
"What do you mean one of us.That's impossible.I know who my dad is.Willow knows.And Darla knows. But you don't. That means you're his daughter."
"That doesn't mean anything!Your parents could've lied Cordy.Same with everyone elses.That doesn't leave me.I agree with Willow.We need to get out of here."Buffy snapped at her,taking everone aback.
"Buffy,you should be lying down."Spike said putting a hand on her shoulder.She put her hand on his and caused a look of shock on everyone's face.
"Spike,I need to talk to you."She said and looked at everyone else who left and walked into the kitchen, "Spike,i'm willing to forget the past two years. Waking up by your side was something I really missed. I love you.Nothing is changing that.I can't stop it.You're still the one I call for when I'm in trouble or in pain.For a long time,I woke up yelling your name because of the dreams I had.I was still with the killer and you saved me.You're my hero.I love you."
"Buffy,you know I love you-"She stopped him by grabbing his neck and pulling him on top of her for a kiss.After she got up,she walked quietly over to the swinging dor toward the kitchen.She opened it and saw everyone standing there with their ear toward the door,"Let's go."
