Buffy pulled up to her old house and took a deep breath,"Home sweet home."She whispered to herself feeling those eyes on her again.
She pulled the keys out of the ignition and saw that she didn't have her house key on the key chain any more,"Damn."She sat there thinking for a minute then said,"The hide-a-key."
Buffy jumped out of her car and walked to the garden in front of her house and grabbed a stick.She looked at the rocks and tried to figure out which one had the key.She couldn't guess so she started tapping on them with her stick.
At about the fifth one from the end it sounded hollow.She picked it up and saw the key,"Good ol' mom.Never fails."She giggled and walked up to the door.Before sticking the key in the door she looked at it.
Remembering all those times her and Spike stood on that doorstep making out then if her mom wasn't home she would take him up to her room and they would have hot, passionate sex.She started crying again but made herself stop.
After Buffy unlocked the door she walked straight to the kitchen and saw two notes on the fridge.Well,mom usually only leaves me one but two is fine.She thought as she pulled the notes off the fridge.
The one on top said:
Buffy,
If you got here and found the hide-a-key then you're standing in the kitchen reading my note.I'm sorry I couldn't be there with you right now giving you lots of hugs and kisses which would probably freak you out. I would ask you how is law school going and why didn't you go to Harvard even though you could've gone there.I love you and I might be able to come home early.Talk to you later honey.

Buffy opened up the fridge and saw an opened can of Pepsi and a bowl of spaghetti,"She was right."
She put the first note on the counter and looked at the next note.It was folded and had Buffy's name written in cursive on it.She figured it was Spike and had been in contact with her mom before she left but when she opened it her face changed to sheer terror.
I'm in the house.
Buffy ran outside and pulled out her cell phone and looked through the address book,"Spike,Spike,Spike, Spike,Spike.Here it is."She hit the talk button and it rang about ten times until he picked up.
"Hello,luv.Miss me?"
"Spike I need your help.He's in the house."
"What?You mean..."His voice lowered,"him?"
"Yes."She broke down and was on the ground shaking.
"Well,how do you know?"Spike stepped outside and was walking toward his Harley.
"There was a note on my fridge.It said 'I'm in the house.'He would've had to be in the house in order to put it on my fridge under my mom's note.Can you please come over?"She begged.
"I'm on my way.See you in a sec.Bye,pet."
"Bye Spike."She hung up and went and sat in her car. She waited for about ten minutes then he pulled up on his Harley.
"Come here pet."She ran up to him and he wrapped his arms around her,"I'm here now.There's nothing to be afraid of.I love you."He kissed the top of Buffy's head and looked into her eyes,"I love you Buffy.And I'm so sorry."
"Let go of me."
"What?"
"I said let go of me."She pulled away from him and his blue eyes widened.
"What the hell?Buffy you called me.Not anyone else me."
"I didn't call you so we could make up and go back up to my room like in high school.I called you because he's in there.Do you even realize what you put me through?"
"I understand that but Buffy please."
"Just not now.Go find him.Please."
"Fine."He walked up to the front porch and Buffy followed him.He opened the door and they walked inside.
