Buffy, Angel, Giles, Willow, and Xander do not belong to me. I didn't write this story for money, just for fun.

Part Three

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buffy sat dumbfounded listening to the man real off her sins. He had already gotten to year sixteen. None of this is happening, she thought. It was all so surreal. After the disorientation had wore off she had remembered dying. Now she sat quietly listening to all of her sins. Beside herself she found herself being drawn back into the one sided conversation. She felt a sudden need to defend herself.

"I didn't actually lie to my parents." She drawled.

He raised his eyebrows. "And what would you call it?" He asked.

Buffy paused. "A slight changing of the facts to keep them safe. The less they knew the safer they were. I had to bend the truth just a tad." She said measuring her fingers.

"So you lied." He said, not listening to her renewed defense. He pressed on. "Then five hours later you told your mother you were going to bed when in fact you snuck out your window." Buffy opened her mouth to defend herself. "Sit back, there are quite a bit of these." He informed her. Buffy lent back in her seat as he droned on and on. She felt herself being detatched from the scene. Like when Giles lectured her on one subject or another.

Willow walked on through the stacks of books. She ventured a little further than stopped as if debating weather or not she should stray from her new strange surroundings. Then she would move forward and start the whole process all over again. She came to a corner and looked both ways like she was crossing a street. Something caught her eye and she squinted to see what it was. It was diffidently a someone. She mentatlly debated on weather she should go up to them or not. Willow had no clue as to where she was or who was down the isle. She thought about it for a good many minutes then decided that someone had to be better than no one.

She walked down the long passage hesitantly. Getting closer and closer to the figure. She stopped as she sinally made out who it was. With a relieved grin she ran towards him at full speed. The figure had not heard her approach and was completely unassuming with his eyes closed seemingly lost in thought. Willow jumped on him startling him out of his reverie. She wrapped her arms tightly around his neak and buried her face in his chest. He was taken aback and looked for a moment he would fling her off but realized who it was before that happened.

"Angel. Oh, Angel. God." She cried muffled agianst his chest crying actual tears. She kept repeating his name so happy to have someone there with her. Angel finally put his arms around her confused but not awkward. "I died. He killed me. I died." She choked. Angel held her tighter.

"I know. So did I." He said at a loss to say to her. He didn't understand it. He thought he was in hell but Willow was here. They were both dead and Willow was here with him. There was no way she was in hell and there was no way he was in heaven. Not unless a huge mistake had been made on either of their behalf.

Giles and Xander were still wandering around. Xander wasn't sure what pattern Giles was taking. He had tried to draw him into a conversation but had failed on every attempt. He was never any good at that, not without the girls. A pang of fear shot through him. God, he prayed, let them be all right. Giles had stopped at a corner and was debating to go down this one. Xander watched him as he muttered silently gesturing with his hands. He stepped into the new isle still debating. Xander followed him. Giles shook his head and turned around to go back the way they had come. Xander turned around and walked into a wall.

"Ow." He yelped holding his nose. "Where the hell did that come from?" He demanded ogling the wall that had replaced the stacks and the way back.

"So much for going back." Giles said resigned to the new route. He turned back around and found another wall had appeared in the middle of the stacks blocking out the left passage. They only had one possible way to go. "It appears as if someone wants us to go that way." Giles said.

Xander gawked at him, suppressing a tremor of fear.

"You think?" He said sarcastically.

It received a look from Giles. Xanders's shoulders sagged as they moved on. Yeah this is hell.
