*****SUNNYDALE - SEPTEMBER 1999*****
The tall stone buildings of UC Sunnydale loomed over head as Buffy, Willow, Xander, Cordelia and Oz stood together at the foot of the entrance steps.
‘Wow…’ Was all Willow could say. She was staring upwards at the height of the buildings while the others took in the crowds of people, running back and forth with books, papers…and what looked like a beer keg. Xander eyed it suspicious, then took put a reassuring hand on Willows shoulder.
‘Meh…it’s just a really big highschool. Same jocks, same cheerleaders, same losers.’
‘That’d be us.’ Cordelia added, frowning at Xander.
‘Okay…same old us then. But still, it can’t be any harder than highschool right.’
Buffy clutched her books tightly to her chest. ‘The big scary.’ She said, almost to herself.
‘Guys, this isn’t like highschool at all.’ Willow said, staring with wide eyes at them all. ‘People that are here want to learn…they chose to come here…it’s an entirely different atmosphere! It’s going to be great!!’ She beamed at them, and then bounded up the steps followed by Oz and Cordelia.
Xander and Buffy exchanged frightened glances, and then reluctantly followed them.
‘If I die here, tell Esme to donate my body to science.’ Xander mumbled.
