'Okay,' nodded Buffy. 'I cringe when I say it, but...Take me to your leader?'
The vampire seemed pleased with her request.
'Yes, then please, follow me. There isn't any time. They'll be back'
'Who, the Orcses?', muttered Buffy, rolling her eyes. 'Please, I saw that cartoon. I kind of sucked. Without the ending and everything. Just remember who has the stake here'.
She waved it threateningly. Of course, the vampire flinched and shot towards the doorway.
Buffy run after him. It looked as if he was heading towards the basement. In the distance, she heard the sound if the school doors reopening, and an angry Snyder shouting at no one in particular. If he caught her now...
But the vampire had no intention of letting her fall behind. 'Hurry', he instructed urgently, fumbling at the basement door. She sighed, and kicked it open effortlessly.
'This better be worth it', she grunted, descending into the dusty darkness.
Whether it was worth it or not, she wasn't sure.
In the basement, at the far end, a vampire could be made out pacing amongst the cobwebs. Impatiently.
'Angel', Buffy breathed, hardly believing herself.
She glanced at the two vampires in shock. No, Angel hadn't noticed her come in.
But the look on her vampiric leader's face told her that a meeting could soon be arranged.
