Buffy starts to run up to the demon to save dawn untill she is stopped by spike.
"dont you dare"
"i have to save dawn i have to"
her eyes were starting to well up with fresh tears and then then they broke free and streamed down her already tear stained face.
"you can't risk the baby love. trust me"
spike backs buffy away till she is out of harms way and runs towards the demon. He jumps on its back in an angry rage till it drops dawn on the ground. gunn runs up and helps dawn over to buffy, then he picks up a large pole and runs over to help spike kill the demon. The pole goes through the body of the demon and it flops to the ground bringing spike with it. H e gets up and walks over to buffy and dawn.
"you girls alright?"
buffy looks at dawn and she nods her head.
"we're fine."
she looks into spike's eyes and as he looks back he can see the love sparkling in her tear free eyes. he leans in and kisses her on the head and brings his hand back down to her belly.
"i'm gonna look after you. and I'll be here whenever you need anything. and I'm gonna help you rase the lil bit here. and if that prick angel comes anywhere neer you or the baby. . . I'll kill him."
"spike"
"I'm serious. I'm gonna look after my kid and I'm gonna look after her mother."
"her? why do you think it's gonna be a girl?"
"Her heartbeat. It's too femanine to be a boy. To delacate."
"buffy?"
dawn is staring at the 2 of them in confusion.
"whats wrong dawn?"
"why didn't you tell me you were pregnant?"
"oh god dawn I didn't tell anyone. I've only just gotten my own head round it."
"It's okay"
dawn comes over pushes spike out of the way and hugs her mum to be sister.
"and spike."
"yes niblet"
"if this baby is a boy I'm gonna tell it when it grows up taht it's daddy called it a girl."
"dont worry taht will never have to happen."
he moves back to buffys belly.
"cause this lil bit's gonna be daddy's lil princess."
