I got to say that this chapter was one of the best so far. It slightly shorter, but to the point. It proves just how much Angel really does care for Connor even if he can't see it sometimes. I can't wait to read on and see what happens.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Let me say that I htink Angel, thorugh most of the series, was a pretty crappy father. But I don't think there was ever a question of how much he loved Connor. I wanted to show a situation where that overwhelming love for Connor was able to break down Connor's emotional barriers. Now that is a downward spiral and proof just how far Angel will go for his son. Have to say I'm liking Season six.

I love the picture you painted of the junkie life for the last several chapters. very Trainspotting. Your Xander is excellent. Keep it up!

Glad to see Angel doing the father bit--equally glad to see Connor's going home. Good on Kat/Katie; getting rid of a "junky" and Mark. Another great chapter--update soon, please. Can't wait to see what happens when Connor gets home.
Author's Response: Kat/Katie might be around on again off again. I'm not sure yet. I wrote her pretty one-Kat/Katie might be around on again off again. I'm not sure yet. I wrote her pretty one-dimensional and not all her actions made sense as i wrote them, but I have this back story that kind of brings her actions together. Still, she's a minor character and I don't know that I want to spend too much time on her. With Angel's father bit, I really wanted to show how much Angel is willing to take responsibility for Connor's fall and how far he's willing to go to be with his son. |
