I love how your're expanding Dana's story. I always thought she had much more of a story to be told than we saw. I also enjoy the idea of Connor helping Dana. Two such damaged characters have a lot to learn from each other.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I really like writing about characters who I thought had a lot of story left in them. And Dana definitely falls into that category. Plus, I think it fits with the show's theme on not abandoning people; that everyone always has an oppertunity to turn things around. Thanks again for the review.

Author's Response: Yeah, I thought Connor doing that would freak out Xander, but also establishhim as a well-adjusted American boy. I'm not sure how long I'll keep him around in this story, though.

Yes, I know Connor thought she was a hypocrite. but he seem mad at her as soon as she got there, like it was more than he just didn't want to help. maybe I'm just imagining it, I'll shut up now.

Author's Response: No, you'r enot imagining it. Connor was angry as soon as Willow arrived. But Riley made a pint of mentioning that this particular supplier (Connor) *really* didn't like being bothered. He doesn't want to go back into that world when his father literally sold his soul to get Connor out of it.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I htought repeating Xander's discomfort with Larry (the gay football player) could be fun. The references were to the movie *Red Eye*. If you see the film (which I recommend), be sure to glance over the story again.

I like it--still liking its focus on Dana. ALso liking the Connorness--his overall emotions. And his reaction to Riley was great. Glad you did let him into the story. Please keep going, short chapters or long. It's awesome, and I love the way you write the characters.

“Don’t worry,” Connor said. “I might not look like much, but I’m full of surprises.”.........It was only a matter of time before Connor found his way into another story! You write Connor really well, speaking as a non-Connor fan, though I think I may have said that in one of your other fics, but in a way i hope he isn't as big a character in this story, as I think you have a great potentail to focus on some of the other characters around Dana. Nice Star Wars reference, which is really in with the times :) And did I just sense an annoying Riley ready to cause trouble? And is it just me, or sid I sense chemistry between Xander and Dana? I'm really interested to see how this fic turns out, so I hope you do continue with it.

Author's Response: Thanks for your review. As I probably told you before, I'm a pretty big fan of Connor. Anyone who cuts off a drug dealer's ear and sinks Angel into the Pacific is alright by me. However, I actually wanted to keep him out of this story compeletely. After a while, though, I realized I was doing more work to keep him out and it wasn't really natural. Thus, Connor. How much he'll be in it, i can't say. Xander/ Dana chemistry. Hmmmm . . . Xander certainly is protective of her. Whether anything else happens, you'll jsut have to wait and see.. thanks again for reading.

The story is shapeing up pretty well. I don't really understand conner's anger at willow though, wasn't angel the one that let him down, but it's still a good story.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Connor was angry at Will because she was trying to guilt him into helping and he felt she was being a hypocrite. She was saying he should help Dana for moral reasons, but the only reason Willow wants to help Dana is because of what Dana can do for Willow. Glad you like the story. It's definitely one of my less popular ones.

Author's Response: Thanks. The story (much like Angel season 6) is getting many reads or revies, so it's nice to know people are reading. It's kind of ironic. I wrote thsi story with shorter chapters than most of my stoiries thinking that some of the longer chapters were scaring peole away. Now it almost seems as if the opposite is true. Any way, long story short- thanks for your interest. Hope I can keep it.

Great idea to focus on Dana. She has so much character potential. I myself thought the characterisation of Xander flawless. He said Xandery things and acted as a Xander would in my eyes. I didn't really get why there had to be a cruciantium (sp?) though, as I thought the rituals of the Watchers Council would have relaxed since its demise...even if the new ways are less secet and emotionally betraying. makes you wonder how Buffy would have taken it....

Author's Response: I hope Dana will make for a compelling story. I agree that she has a lot of potential. I just hope I can take advantage of that. I'm always worried about how a portray Xander, so it's a huge relief to have someone say I did it okay. I think having the Cruciamentum makes sense. It teaches the slayers to fight with skill and not just rely on their strength. However, it's less fun when they're unprepared, betrayed, and in mortal danger. If they know what's coming and the situation's controlled, then failing the test doesn't mean death, just more training.

Awesome start. It lays out a lot of backdrop information in the start of the chapter. I like the way you're expanding on Dana's character as well as Willow's and Xander's. Guessing that Connor's going to show up as more than a voice on the answering machine sometime too. I cannot wait to see where it goes, so please update it soon.

Author's Response: Thaks for the review. I'm trying to keep the chapters of this story shorter than my others, so hopefully it won't be too long until I update. This one was mostly exposition. I was going to try to keep Connro out of this since he's in all my other stories, but with Dana's particular arc, I think I'm going to have to bring him in. So yes, he should be more tahn a voice on the phone soon.
