Again wth how good this is! I love your plot developments. You just keep'em coming. I like the key angle! PLus the whole thing with Cordy and Darla. This is going to be good!
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I thought Cordy and Darla made a neat “odd couple” of sorts, but both now have ties to the PTB, so it’d be neat to throw them together. As I said before, I totally thought the show would take advantage of the key angle, so that’s where I went with it. |

I really liked this chapter. I love how you changed up the fight scene and made it more interesting. I totally loved the whole flying monkey thing with Andrew, lol. I also like how Angel finally realized the stuff about Connor and is now going to try even harder to save him. I also like how Cordelia's coming back. Gosh...you have so many good ideas and you actually made them work! I wanted Cordelia back, but would've never been able to come up with a logical way to bring her back. I LOVE your idea. Gosh...I've got to keep reading, I can't stop!
Author's Response: Yeah, I thought this made for a big fight between the goodies and the baddies. I think the things Angel said to Connor were way, way overdue. If you think about it, Angel never reached out to Connor the way he should have. And Cordy, yeah, I thought that was a cool way to bring her back. |

Very good action scenes and some great ideas on how the final BTVS could have gone. I liked your idea about using Dawn as a "Key" again. I always thought it was odd that BTVS never addressed that portion of her character after season 5. Good to see it put to good use.
I also like the different aspects of Connors you are using across the different series you are writing. Campus Life definitely is a lighter and happier Connor from the Reilly family. Connor in this storyline is definitely on the darker edgey side while the Connor in Running on Faith seems to be a mix in between the two. As I mentioned in another review... I never really like Connor on ATS, but I like what you've done with him in all the stories you've written so far.
Keep up the good work.
Author's Response: During season 7, I really thought Dawn’s keyness would come into play for the big closing. I really wanted to see more key references after season 5, but it just kind of went away.
In case you haven’t guessed, Connor’s my favorite character. I really think there’s a lot to work with there, which is why I have a different version of Connor in each of my stories. Sorry to read you didn’t like Connor on AtS. (I think he was very misunderstood). But I’m glad you like Connor here and in my other stories. Thanks!

Superior writing! Somehow you managed to mesh a heart-to-heart with a rather violent fight scene: Well done! The continuity about Cordy's death is flawless and connecting the Hellmouth to the Key was nothing short of genius. I almost feel like a traitor to say this, but your version of Chosen makes so much more sense and brings things to a better conclusion than Joss Whedon's. Keep up the fantastic work!
Author's Response:
Thanks for the review and the compliments! The heart-to-heart during a battle for life and death is just me ripping off the series. I always loved how they’d have these typical conversations during fight scenes. I wanted to bring Cordy back, so I figured I needed a decent way to do it. Blaming W&H for her death seemed like the right thing to do. As for keying the hellmouth, Dawn has to be good for something, right? Thanks for the comment about me vs. Joss, but keep in mind he has budgets and networks to contend with. Thanks again so much for reading and for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. |

That was so awesome. It was my mistake to start reading this before there was more done, cause I really want more. NOW! It is really good and I'm glad that Fred is alive, cause I loved her beyond reason. Mostly because I haven't seen a lot of the episodes of Angel, mostly seasons 3-5 and I always cry when I think that she's dead. So grand job, and once again, good characters. and ADD MORE. good job!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. This is not one of my more popular stories, so your comments mean ALOT. I didn't like season 5 very much, so I wanted to redo it. But I also hate redos, so I had to come up with a way to get everyone back to where they were at season 4's end. I hope you keep reaidng and enjoying. Thanks again! |

Yea--I'm glad that Andrew got to put his demon-summoning skills to good use. The flying monkeys were funny and useful. The tenser (tense-er? Whatever) parts were good too--Dawn slitting her throat, Connor refusing to leave the Hellmouth..... And, yea, Cordy's coming back in non-spiritual form. Is she going to tell Angel about the "future"??? Sorry. That'd be spoiler...... Please update it again soon.
Author's Response: I thought Andrew's demon summoning just kind of disappeared on the show. With good reason, I suppose. but, in the fight of their lives, I fgured he should get a little flute action in. Thaks for reviewing. This is one of my less poplar stories, so your review has gone a long way to keep me motivated. |
