This is one of the best storys I've read so far, Your even makeing me like dawn, Which I though was not possible (I never hated her, she just got on my nerevs a little). Keep it up.

Another cool chapter. I always thought you could do more with Dawn than the show did. I like how you use getting fed on by a vamp as an analgoy for drugs. It's like season 6 with magic.

Author's Response: I enjoyed the bloodletting-for-pleasure theme introduced by Riley; it outlines a whole human/vampire underground relationship that isn't just killing and dusting.

This is a deep, rich story filled with metaphor that shows just how many opportunities the original series missed with Dawn. I love that she's possibly becoming a little bit of a fang junky. It really fits in a way. Her father abandoned her, her mother died, then her sister died. In real life, a person like this might go looking for answers about her life and wind up with some kind of addiction. In typical Buffy fashion, the story frames this dilemma in supernatural terms. The ending was great. It left me wondering what Dawn really is.
