Great fic - it's refreshing to see Hank written as a real person with good points as well as bad. Loving the tension - as Hank, Giles and Spike all have some level of paternal instinct towards Buffy and Dawn, will be interesting to see how they all get on with each other.

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I just wanted to write something where Hank wasn't easily forgiven or made out to be the evilest of the evil.

Hm. By this point, it's almost harder to be disappointed in Hank because he's pretty much grown--or tried to grow--as a father figure. It'd be fun if he, Giles, and Spike all yelled at each other, though.... (That's me rambling. Not helpful ideas. Sorry.) Anyway, great chapter again--including, of course, the "bloomin--flowerin onion blossom". ;)
