This story is lovely. I'm generally not a fan of Giles/Buffy because weird, but this is strangely sweet. You've pulled off that relationship well by making him more of the Ripper variety. You've also constructed the unknown history very well; Willow's computer software company, Buffy's travel around the world, Xander's apathy to anything unknown thanks to years on the Hellmouth. The descriptive quality is beautiful, and you've punctuated the sad ending with something sweet. This is a lovely story that I didn't hesitate to finish reading despite its length.

Author's Response: What a kind review - thanks for it and for sticking with the fic. Buffy/Giles is one of those ships that does tend to gross a lot of people out, so I'm pleased that you found that it worked in this story.
