I love Faith’s reaction to the dry humping. Very Faith. I wasn’t quite sure why Wesley was so annoyed that Angel was trying to “tend” to his wound. I think Wes knowing what was going on inside Angel was giving the old boy a bit too much credit. But one of the things I love about your story is that many of the events that could be used to vilify a character are actually used to create sympathy for them. That’s a difficult thing to do and you’ve done it exceptionally well. You’ve really shown how Angel has been isolated and abandoned. Spike and Buffy publicly making out would have been horrendously painful for him. Just like when she first arrived, Buffy is essentially treating Angel like a non-entity. She’s so lost in her feelings for Spike she doesn’t care how harshly she jabs Angel in an open wound. Then, Angel is abandoned by the few friends he has left. I think it’s great how you show your heroes as selfish and your “villain” as such a sympathetic and abandoned loner. Brilliant!
