Awesome! We finally get the winner, okay. But that ending! What a way to go back and grab somehting from the show and totally make it your own. Great job! I can't wait to see what happens next.

I so enjoyed this whole story! Thank you so much for taking this challenge on and making it such a great read! My poor, poor Faith (I am so glad that she won! Definitely my choice) ... Dancing forever with Sweet! Loved the idea! Great work!

Angel and Spike at the beginning were hysterical as always. It's great how you get more mileage from the Angel?Buffy/Spike triangle than the show ever did. Poor Dawn. I love the reference back to Anya's joke from Giles's dream in "Restless." The Oz/ Willow chat was nice.
Author's Response: My ability to explore the Angel/Buffy/Spike dynamic is mainly due to the fact that fanfiction doesn't need SMG to realize it - because of what happened in The Girl in Question, we now have forever to speculate :) At last someone recognised Anya's joke! Oz/Willow is a bit of a mystery at the moment - readers seem to be unsure whether they feel happy or disturbed to see them in the same room again, so I'm not really sure where that's going to go. As ever, thanks for the review. |

This Story is way fun!!! I think Dawn should win. She needs an ego boost!! Plus she is totally cute.
I do not think Willow should end up with Oz. A lot has happened since she was with Oz and they have both grown as people. She has moved on and there is really no reason for her to go back. He is a great character and I love that he is there but not with Willow. Plus I am in the minority that likes Kennedy!!

Willow. Just because she rocks. Besides, the other contestants could probably defend themselves from whatever the runners-up get, three of them being slayers, one being a demony-goddess, and Dawn not being awful. If worse came to worse, Willow and her witchy self could reign horror down on the people screwing with the competition and save all of them, since they wouldn't be after her.

Dawn should win cause the rest of tehm have powers to defend themselves against the evilness to come. Willow is GAY people! But a break up with Kennedy would suit me down to the ground. When is the next part?!!!!
Author's Response: That's quite a logical case for Dawn to win which fits in with a defence mechanism more than a beauty contest. Willow IS gay, but she's arguably bisexual. This is how I interpret her character, anyway. I'm sorry for my completely biased characterisation of Kennedy though. Maybe I should make her more likable? Is that even possible? The next part will be in about a fortnight to give time to collect results. :) |

This second chapter of your story is even better than the first. It has the classic elements of BtVS, the show; it's hysterically funny, but also with an underlying threat. It reminds me a lot of "Puppet Show." I ove the many fish out of water elements of the story. Only Buffy really seems in her element. Plus, good vibrations! I wonder if the song will have anything to do with what the baddies are plotting or if it was just a really funny gag. Great chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. The main point of the story is to provide a little light weight comedy, which I don't write a lot of but enjoy doing. i'm glad that it can be found funny to a certain extent. Yes, many characters are out of their depth with the contest, as using the show's timeframe, Cordelia (who loved that sort of thing) and Anya (who was a bit of a poser) are kind of dead, and although ideal to use in the story, physically can't be there. So we're left with six not-quite beauty contestants, which either works or it doesn't. The song Good Vibrations....I can't reveal whether that has significance, as that may give away the story. But yes, it was definitely aimed as a gag piece. |
