There's so much I like about this fic that I think I'll have trouble getting it all out. I like how you handled the battle. I’ve read a lot of accounts of how that battle would shake out. They were all great battle scenes, but I’ve read enough of them to not want to read another. You sum up the big fight nicely: they fought, Willow to the rescue, ‘nuf said. I also like how you didn’t wimp out on Wes, Gunn, and Lorne. Gunn doesn’t mysteriously recover or get healed by Willow. Illyria doesn’t raise Wes form the dead. Lorne doesn’t decide at the last minute that he can’t abandon his friends. That’s not to say that you can’t bring those characters back. Anything is possible. But you didn’t throw out a one spell cures all revival. Next is Willow. Man, do you have Willow down. From her thoughts to her words, your Willow is perfect. Great start to what I’m sure will be a great story.
Author's Response: Thanks for the compliment on Willow--she's definitely one of my favorites. Also, I'm glad you like my take on the big battle thing. (Even though there's only about ten thousand variations on it in other stories....)
