I was with you up until Angel actually fought the Senior Partners and won (a little too easily at that). With the new set up, I don't know. It's like you've taken one step forward and two steps back. Having Angel defeat the enemies he's been fighting for five years and gain enough resources to basically be the most powerful hero in the world kind of makes him into Superman. I think part of the message of the show was to always fight, no matter how bad the odds are. You've basically put them into a situation where virtually no villain would pose a serious threat. I think in your attempts to blend all the major elements of the Jossverse (Spike works out of a crypt, the visions, Caritas, etc.) you've failed to move the characters forward. That's enough negativity. I did like Lindsey's punishment by the Powers (although you must be careful not to play that for comedy too much) and the banter between Spike and Wood is very funny. Ethan's an interesting choice for a sub villain, considering that noone in Angel's world has encountered him. I'm hoping the new villain measures up.
