Reviews for Hank

filmtheory 03/11/05 - 03:11AM 7: Chapter Seven Signed
So did I. Thanks for reminding us once again that Hank is out of the loop in more ways than one. Ironically, having a parent around (and one who’s trying to bond with her at that) continues to make me more sympathetic toward Dawn. I love hard luck cases that other people think are annoying (e.g. my favorite character: Connor), yet some how always labeled her as brat. You do a better job writing Dawn as angst-ridden teenager (with whom I can sympathize) than Joss and company ever did. Then again, the story is being told increasingly through Dawn’s eyes, thereby making her automatically more sympathetic. Don’t’ get me wrong, I think Dawn’s is the perfect POV. She is the one person currently entrenched in both the regular and supernatural worlds. Again, I love this concept. It’s completely brilliant. But the concept alone isn’t what makes this story great. Your writing, both in terms of plot and characterization is fabulous. Thus your 19th unanimously 5-star review. PS neck massager from Willow- don’t think I missed that you dirty-minded girl.

Hee! That's one of my favorite moments in "Older and Far Away"...Buffy gets the neck massager, she and Spike instantly think sex toy...heeheehee :)

I've always liked Dawn, adn I've found on re-viewing that I really like her. She can be annoying, but then most teens are (as I coach teens I feel qualified to make that statement ;) ).

Again, calling my story brilliant never gets old! Thanks! :)
