Great story. I don’t think you have to pretend Connor and Angel’s interaction in “Not Fade Away” didn’t happen. You can intend to say goodbye to someone forever and then have them come find you a bit later on. You were really inside Connor’s head and I loved that. The one bit that seemed slightly off was Connor’s reaction to his mother’s “that must be a first” line. What little we’ve seen of the new Connor suggests he’s very sarcastic. I think having mom be the same is perfect. But I think Connor’s response would be equally sarcastic. Still, an excellent, excellent story. Connor’s my favorite character, so I’m hard on stories about him. You’ve still impressed me with this.
Author's Response: You're right, you're so right. It's not that I wanted to pretend that the scene between Connor and Angel in Not Fade Away didn't happen, it was just that i knew i was going to get reviews from other sites of people saying 'oh but this happened'.
Thank you for the stunning review, i'm always a little nervous about writing characters like Connor, Dawn, Dru, etc and it's nice to knew that other people think I'm doing okay. |
