Very cool cliffhanger. Man! Connor has certainly got some mojo going on. First Cordelia and now Dawn. And since we are dealing with the child of a vampire and the key.... well the kid is destined to be messed up. Great job. Keep it coming.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I’m glad you like the cliffhanger. Yeah, Connor’s boys seem to know how to get in there. Then again, he’s the miracle child. You’d have to imagine he’d be pretty potent. It’s a shame Lorne and Angel took off before the news about Dawn came out. Now no one in the crew knows Connor’s history with regard to fatherhood. |

Damn, poor Dawn's pregnant, Connor's going of to probably die OK I know from early in the story, that he can't die but still) Lorens running again,Buffy, Willow, and everybody else is porbably dead, It's the feel good story of the year. But seriously it a good (If a little depressing) stroy keep it up.
Author's Response: Yep, poor Dawn. Whether or not Connor dies, I can’t say just yet. But he will be gone for a little while. The fates of Buffy, Willow, and the others will be known before we know what happens to Connor. Sorry the story’s depressing. I promise to make it all happy by the end. Maybe. |

You..... Providing shockage! Yea! The chapter was great as always--and I'm glad that Connor got some kind of closure regarding Cordelia. And it left me feeling much more sympathy towards Lorne. He always does get the crap jobs. But you wrote it all well, and I liked the dialogue. Internal bits were good too--especially the part with Lorne.
Author's Response: I'm glad the sympathy for Lorne is there. He's kind of connivking I'm glad the sympathy for Lorne is there. He's kind of conniving, and I was afraid that would turn people off. Connor/ Cordy closure was a long time coming. But I’ve tried to show throughout the story that DamagedConnor was better equipped to let Cordy go because he’s used to rejection. Glad you liked the shockage. Thanks for reading and thanks for reviewing. |

loved it, that stuff that Angel siad about not wanting to hurt Conner was so sad, also points for having hell dimension Conner say Angel was "ditching" him
Author's Response: Angel does have a habit of ditching the ones that he loves. I thought he should be called on it at least once. Thanks for the review! |

“Ohhhh,” Faith said with a grin. “I see. This is like when mom used to say she hoped someday I’d have a kid like me so I could see what it was like.” Love this line! Who hasn't heard in one form or another from their mom.
I hope that Faith softens up a little on Connor. I really enjoyed where you took his character from the last season and she was there though most of it. There are many sympathetic issues that she may be able to help him out on as pointed out by Giles. (Love how you portrayed him btw) Great chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. You're so sweet! Yes, we've all gotten the "someday you'll have a kid likeyou" line. Connor is Faith's Faith. I plan on spending some time on Faith's relationship with Connor. I'm glad you like how Giles was portrayed. I was worried I didn't do him well. |

What a way to start. I love those demons from AtS way creepy. I know Xander was a guest shot and that he's not sticking around but I love how you write him. Gretchen is interesting and I like the fact that she isn't an all-powerful bad-ass witch... She's more believable. I am excited to catch up with your story... On to read more!
Author's Response: Yeah, I really liked those creepy demons as well. I was worried about how I was writing Xander, so good to hear he's coming off okay. Thanks for reviewing! |

Ahhh!!! My eyes! My eyes! Drusilla and Giles? Brrrrr. Thank you for a truly disturbing image. As usual you nail the characters and leave me wanting to read more.
Author's Response: Thanks! Hope the rest keeps you hooked. |

Another brilliant chapter. Exceptional comic relief. Still my fav fic. Keep it up!
Author's Response: Gla dthis is one of your favorite fics. Hopefully I can keep the excitement coming. I feel this season's a little weak, but I'm trying to get it back on track. |

I'm onlyabout half way through this chapter, but I have to comment now. "I'm like totally standing right here!" Priceless!
Author's Response: Thanks! One bad thing about a friend with super hearing is you can't talk about him when he's in the room. |

If there was ever a phrase that captured the essence of Xander in this story it is "Man that's hot ...and wrong!" Reminded me of a line from The Zeppo. Great Chapter. Looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Hopefully you'll enjoy the rest of the story. |

Nice cliffhanger at the end--getting ready for the fight and all. Also, I'm liking the bit where Cordy is still alive in another dimension (specifically, Pylea). Can't wait to see if there is any Connor strife involved there, apart from everybody assuming a little too much. For that matter, I'm waiting to see more of the Mayor (since you keep having him come back). It was another great, action-packed chapter, of course. Don't leave the suspense, though--please update it again soon!
Author's Response: Cordy said in "You're Welcome" that she had another path and I kind of wanted to run with that. But if she dies, then thatpath obviously isn't on earth. Pylea is the only other place she visited and she did seem to have an important role there. Connor's strife in Pylea won['t be too bad, but he has some problems waiting for him when he gets home. I'm planning for the Mayor and Kevin to be permanent cast additions, but I also planned the same for Gretchen and you saw how that worked out. Besides, i really need to trim this cast. But the mayor I hope to keep around. |

Action - packed, fun - filled! Great chapter. Looking forward to the next one, in fact, I'm reading it right now.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Hope you like the next chapter as well. |

"I just want you to know, that when we get back to the hotel and I kick your ass, I’m going to kick it in a caring and sensitive way."
Very cool line! You did an excellent job of nailing down Giles character and I have to say I really like what you are doing with Connor. The image of a kid with a Prince Valiant hair cut eating worms and raw fish was definitely a laugh out loud moment. (As was Spike's final comment to the priest).
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Faith and Spike are pretty much just fonts of good lines. Connor as fish out of water is also always good for some comedy mileage. Later I try to do something about Connor’s hair, so hopefully the Prince Valiant mullet won’t be around too long- lol. Thanks again. I hope you keep reading. |

| ' Xander gripped the lobby counter and looked down in frustration. He was quiet a moment. “Damn it!” he shouted as he began kicking the counter.
Spike stood up. “Xander, that’s . . . well, I was going to say that’s not going to do us any good, but it actually looks kind of fun.” '
Hee! (Again) Great Spike line. Very excited for the next chapter. Cordy, Billy (I KNEW it!), the reprecussions of torturing the Mayor, Numfar! Can't wait! I'm really enjoying your characterizations and the way you're bringing past stuff from the shows.
Another side note...I know a guy who served in Bosnia and here's my history-geek side note, but...um, wasn't the US mostly involved in air strikes? I seem to recall that most of the ground "peace keepers" were Canadian and other NATO countries (becasue of the whole atrocities thing that lead to a lot of trouble in Canada, which I remember hearing about incessently on the news, and the closing down of the RCAF, thus leading to us having, for all intents and purposes, no army). Milosovitch didn't actually stop his "ethnic cleansing" until he was faced with the possiblilty of Clinton deploying ground troops. It's actually because of Bosnia that Americans got used to the idea of "war without casualties", since there were negligable American losses (like 4 people, I think) when compare to other wars. Sorry to bring it up, since it throws off a fabulous plot idea, but I can't leave the history stuff alone. However, if Billy were, say, shot down in his place...that could work *g*
Author's Response: Glad you liked the story. I've actually read a lot about Bosnia and the Bosnian war. Yes, you're correct. The U.S. never deployed ground troops and in fact fought the war because they didn't want to deploy ground troops. It's a confusing thing that has to do with treaties, but if you read Richard Holbrooke's memoirs *To End a War*, you'll get teh story. So yes, minimal casualties making Billy's POW status unlikely. But I do have an explanation planned. However, I may not time to get to it because Billy is mostly a pretty minor character. We'll see. |
