Damn, Xander is lucky in this chapter (and I guess the new eyes is a good thing to). And I'm sure that Dawn's baby is going to be a good little boy, or girl (yea, and Michacel Jacksons not guilty). great story. Author's Response: Yeah, Xander was way lucky. As for Dawn’s baby, I can only quote John Roberts quoting Ruth Bader Ginsburg and say I will offer “no hints, no forecasts, no previews.” Sorry, but you’ll have to keep reading.

Um... ok did, not see any of that comeing (no pun intended) well except for spike pretending Dawn wasn't "preggers" which in my opinion is a gross word, I'm wondering if spike will jelous when/if he finds out about Faith and Xander? I was conviced that he ws going to be blind, possibly someone would stop the mayor and xander would be blind but have his eye all white with a scratch up the middle, any how, great up date! by the way, i hate to be over analising it but didn't Angel get Cordys visions? oh well, update soon! Author's Response: YAY! Someone agrees with mne that "preggers" is a gross word. I used it, however, because I think it's the sort of thing Spike would say. As for the visions, Angel specifically said it was a "one time deal." Cordy gave visions of the Black Thorn when she kissed him, but he didn't permanently get the visions. Still, don't worry about over-analyzing. I pride myself on trying to stay true to the cannon. Thanks so much for your review. Your other question should be answered at some point. Also, I'm really glad to hread I surprised you.

hey great chapter! i was freaking at first, i thought they had removed xanders other eye. though its gotta be weird having his ex's eyes in his head. i loved spikes reaction to dawn's pregnancy, very him. Awesomeness. Poor Xander, except..... I can't help but believe the best of the Mayor. And (S P O I L E R): I also can't help but think that he's too benevolent. And if Kevin were simply going to cut out Xander's eye, the surgery wouldn't be that complicated. He could simply stick his finger in there. And Dawn's pregancy? Okay, first, how's BUFFY going to take it? And second, is it another Jasmine like thing? Or is it just that she's moving quickly because it's Connor's influence, but the baby will be normal? Hm..... Too many questions...... Which will be answered if you'll update again soon. So. Please? Author's Response: Nobody read this review! The reviewer is far too smart for her good, my good, or your good. Stop it! Stop reading, damn it!!! As for Dawn’s pregnancy, Buffy . . . never mind. No more spoilers for you tonight. To quote Hagrid: No more questions! Don’t ask anymore question!! Actually, I will say Buffy isn’t the focus of this story. Her reaction (and Angel’s) will be in the story, but they’ll be a small part. As for the baby . . . wait and see, my friend.

The episode stands out with another two good shocks. I completely forgor about the whole jasmine thing in the last chapter, and to think that Connor may have created another evil being is great continuity with the show. Dawn's refusal to take the 'easy way out' seems typical of her, based on her past experience of Buffy c.season6. And poor poor Xander! Not again! Hopefully, he'll wake up in a shower and none of the scalpelness would ever have happened.... Author's Response: Xander won't wake up in a shower. Sorry. Still, I have a good feeling about this. I really do. I'm glad you liked the Jasmine references. The character of Connor's unborn baby will be an issue of much debate with Dawn's anger not helping the "my baby's not eveil" argument. Well, I guess we'll see soon.

Another great chapter. The Spike.Richard interaction was a highlight, particularly when they remember how the Scoobies killed them both. But the shift of the episode moves to Dawn. She's shown as a really insecure character, living in the shadows of her powerful sister and Connor's precious Cordy. Now that's she's pregnant, which came as a shock, she'll have to grow up and face more responsibilities than the battlefield has ever given her. I wonder if Connor will listen more carefully to the whole Condors and Bees thing ;) Author's Response: Thakns! I thought I should explore some of the Spike/ Richard common ground. A lot of Dawn's recersion to bratty/ jealous has to do with pregnancy hormones. But yes, it's responsibilities aplenty ocming up for Dawn. And Connor. Assuming he survives in Brazil. Also, there will be a follow up to the condors and the bees.

I liked the idea that Angel could never have a good relationship with Connor due to his soul. Yes its sad, yes it introduces much angst, but its a path that the show never really focussed on, given their obsession with Buffy - the Instant Happy Pill. Good to see Cordy alive and sort of happy. Being a Princess on Pylea seems a nice reward for her, but I suspect that its not as satisfying as she may have once thought. And an interesting cliffhanger ending! Again! However do you manage it!? ;) Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I do love my cliffhangers. I think Cordy will actually find ruling Pylea more difficult than she first thought in season 2. However, I think she'll find that difficulty more satisfying than she would have then. Still, that's mostly conjecture. I don't think we'll see her again. I always thought the show short played the relationship between Angel and Connor. There was a lot of milage they could have gotten form it, but they just never really milked it like they could have. I thin that's why I like writing Connor stories so much. There's so much untapped dramatic potential.

Great story, the Xander thing, first of all AAAAHHHHHH!, but I wonder if the mayor is really trying to help him (Why go to so much trouble if you just wan't to do that,) what am I saying, he EVIL! Again with the "Hell yeah!" I can always appreciate a storyline when Xander gets his good eye.... Well I won't spoil it for anyone reading the reviews first. Man... I gotta know what's in the box. I gotta know if the baby is evil. I've gotta.... ah man soooo many things I have to know Great work as usual. Author's Response: Thanks for another Hell Yeah. I don't want to give anything away either, so I'llnot be discussing Xander's good eye or what's in the box. But come on! Now that I've put it together like that, how can you NOT know? I hope you don't, but worried I'm too obvious. Yeah, the baby should make for some nice suspense. I'm only 14 episodes through this season and I'm already running out of juice and retreading old story lines. Well, not exaqctly. But enough about that. Thanks for the review.

Dawn's withcraft is progressing in quite a similar way to Willow's at the moment. I can see how Xander would be worried about advanced spells. Nice to see Spike is still sticking up for Dawn though. The suggestion that Cordy is actually in Pylea was a shock but makes sense... although for all I know, she could be the First fooling with the entire dimension... Also, I liked the ending, very actiony! :) Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing. I’m pretty much copying Willow’s progression with magic where Dawn is concerned. But Dawn’s a big ball of mystical energy, so you’d have to imagine she’d be pretty powerful. Spike’ll always stick up for his Little Bit. I promise more action to come.
