Well, now we know why Buffy can't be seen. I got a couple of questions, though: 1. Was Willow a part of that coven? & 2. What happened to Faith? Just thoughts I had. Keep up the excellent work. ^_~

| Wow, you really weren't kidding about a fever being a good thing! Who'd of thought... Wonderful chapter, the whole Leon draining the Slayers thing is very interesting and can have alot of interesting possibilities. |

How is it, that u can can have a fever, but still manage to write yet another wonderful chapter?Huh. I'm so glad that Angel is finally coming around. ( It sure took him long enough) I loved the way you described Buffy intense feelings about the death of her friends and loved ones. Very intense. Can't wait till u post another chapter!( Yes, it does seem like I've been pitifully waiting and waiting for u to post another chapter, doesn't it? LOL )

This was yet another completely absorbing chapter. I have a feeling I know what’s “guarding” the walls around L.A. Your surprises were awesome! I love how you gave the world a feel that was frightening and familiar, yet vague enough to drop your first bombshell on us. As for the second, I was way excited to read who the kind stranger was. The feel of the room (and therefore world) that you create is very ominous.

| Let me start by saying: “If there were people like him still living in this world, then there had to be some sort of light left over.” What a line! This chapter was as engrossing as the prologue. Your descriptions are vivid without being overbearing, which is a fine line to walk. The scene Buffy happens upon is at once erotic and threatening. This is another fine line. You’ve painted a very menacing picture and shown a great deal of talent by doing so without relying on gratuitous or cheap tricks. If your intention was to create a new, dark, strange, and frightening, you have definitely succeeded. Even more impressive is that you have done so without drifting too far (at least immediately) from the world which Buffy and the reader already know. I’m also a big fan of the gentleman stranger. Unlike his world, he is gentle and charitable. But he’s also like his world in that he is very much mysterious. You definitely have me hooked. |

| This was a great introduction to your story. First-person narratives can be difficult to pull off, but you use it extremely effectively and pull the reader immediately into the story. The use of free-flow thought in the story is another tricky device that you handle deftly. Your writing reminds me a lot of Eddie Little. (If you’ve read Another Day in Paradise or Steel Toes, you know what I mean). Also, you were very, very clever to remind us that Buffy had died once before (the line “Death always draws it away”). Great start! This is definitely a 10. |

...But wow, poor Angel. His soul has got so much suffering to bear. ...Just wondering, is this thing with Bandana Chic (who by the way I so totally hate) supposed to mirror Spike and Buffy's thing is Season 6? Anywho, another excellent angst-filled chapter! ^_^
Author's Response: I really hate to put Angel in so much suffering but it just has to be done. It's so ironic that I yell at writers on the show when they make him suffer and yet here I am writing angst galore. LOL. Yes the evil woman in the bandana is supposed to kind of be the Spike and Buffy thing. I don't really know if she's going to show back up or not. I havn't thought that far ahead yet. Thanks for your review. Now it's time for me to go read your updated version of "I Will Remember You" YAY! |

Hey, it's me...again. When I logged on, ur story wasn't there. Then i went to read another story, went back to the recent list, and there it was! It's fabulous! It's got me freaking out, cuz I wanna know more! Omg, plz update soon! ( Before I go into hyperventilattion, that is.) = )

What do you mean you can’t write fight scenes? That was definitely plenty fighty and interesting to read. I agree that the last line of the chapter is classic Buffy/Angel banter.

This is my first really dark fic so it's always good to get long reviews like yours. Thanks again, and I'll try to post another chapter too. I'm warnig you now though, it's not going to be easy between Buffy and Angel. :( |
