I always think of jarring as a good thing in fiction. This really pushes us out of the world of fluffy Buffy and into the world of a darker Buffy. I can't wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks for re-reviewing. There will be a next chapter, it's all sorted...excepted haven't had time to type it out. That goes for anyone who can be bothered to follow any of my fics. I haven't forgotten about them, it's just I've had a lot of work on my hands with college work :( |

Wow. Considering how things ultimately ended for that character (you know the on eI mean), I guess I shouldn't be so shocked. But wow. Very jarring chapter.
Author's Response: Jarring in a good or bad way? I meant for the chapter to shock, but it's events will ultimately have effects on every Sunnydale character. There is meaning to the madness. Honest... |

very cool chapter. I like how you weaved the regular season two's trajectory with your own take. This is definitley a very neat direction. Buffy and Willow are definitely acting like Buffy and Willow. Buffy, champion grudge holder and Willow the mild child always looking to reconcile her friends.
Author's Response: I was afraid that my take on season 2 would be so far off the mark that it's context would be virtually unrecognisable, so I'm pleased to hear that it's working plausibly, to a certain extent at least. Buffy is a grudge holder. and this aspect of her character will be exlored in this story. |

This was great I love how you used Angelus's taunting remark to push her into the void and make her doubt herself and who she was. It clearly showed she was already broken before the spell and now she is shattered!!! Please update soon this was great!
Author's Response: Buffy is a very strong character, but there is a certain vulnerability in her that I will try to explore in this piece of fanfiction. I have been meaning to update, but between the horrors of psycholinguistics *shudder* and the next chapter being very complicated to write, I have been more than slightly delayed. Wow. Poor Buffy really went off the deep end. I can definitely see this story is getting darker.
Author's Response: Thank you very much again for reviewing. The whole point of Buffy 'going off the deep end' is to show another possibility to her character that was mirrored in another certain Slayer in Season 3. I won't say anymore though... |

I liked you version of Xander’s sleazy father. And Buffy’s reaction. Wow. Pretty intense, not that I blame her. I want them to figure things out and get back to normal, but I’m not sure how that could happen now. Great story!
Author's Response: Thanks for appreciating the story! I admit that's it's become somewhat dark as the fic progressed, and the angst doesn't stop here! Although Season 2's timeline will subtly alter soon. Thanks a lot for taking the time to review! :) |
