I like this chapter a lot.It really shows how Buffy would feel about this whole Angel leaving thing.I try to review as many stories as I can especially the ones I like.I like this one a lot.Try and get to reading my stories because I just wrote a new one called College Love.Once again great story!=]

Regarding the entire story: wow. Beautifully written and very poetic. Bittersweet, I think, is the word to describe Angel and Buffy's relationship in the end.

Angeldove 08/10/04 - 01:04AM 7: Normal - Willow Signed
This POV from Willow was abosolutely perfect. You did a really great job of honing in on the moments of the Prom that were most significant to her, which circumvented repetitiveness. Very nicely done. I have two favorite parts that are very very Willow, and made me laugh: 'Apocoli? Does "apocalypse" have a plural?' and 'trying to change the subject from horrible bloody death to deliciously loopy punch' Then I got teary-eyed at the end when Willow is expressing her empathy for Buffy's situation with Angel, and professing what we all know is truly Willow; that she will be there for Buffy when the magical night ends and they are all propelled back into reality. Buffy's reality being the harshest as it will soon be one without Angel.

Sorry I haven't gotten a chance to review until now! I thought this was absolutly brilliant. For the most part to the characters, and I liked that you played the same scene over again many times. It helps to create that since of perspective! I give it a 10, and hope that you do this same type of thing for other very important moments from the show!

I loved this series! It was really lovely and very well written! Buffy and Angel's POV were fantastic, I particularly liked the endings! I love the 'Prom' episode of BTVS but sob...sob.. Why? oh why? did he have leave her? Okay I know why, to start his own show but still, it was so sad! and you captured that great in your POV'S :)

Angeldove 08/05/04 - 12:54PM 9: Final Farewell - Angel Signed
Angel's POV was beautiful. Having him comparing the prom to his past experience with the aristocracy and the lavish parties of his time painted a picture of how very different he and Buffy are, giving us a little more insight into why this will be their final dance. Angel knows how important Buffy is not only to him but to the world. He can't voice this to the world, and finds that the award she receives from her classmates finally gives this secret, thankless part of her existence a voice.

Angeldove 08/05/04 - 12:53PM 8: Last Dance - Buffy Signed
You know I have been a fan of your poetic writing style since reading 'Road' This Prom section was a flawless character study of both Buffy and Angel and where their relationship was at this point in the mythology. Neither wanted to be without the other, yet each knew it was the only way it could be. This was their prom photo they never took. Just beautiful. And when I talk poetic, this easily sums up what I mean: "People drip off like beads of melted wax" lovely.

Angeldove 08/05/04 - 12:35PM 1: Understanding - Anya Signed
I greatly enjoyed Anya's POV on Prom. Her inability to understand why Oz would forgive Willow for her transgression with Xander was in perfect cohesion with her vengeance demon past. This section in Anya's POV regarding Buffy's award was beautiful and the reason I requested more POV's like it. "It's amazing that a group of people, seemingly only concerned with makeup tips or having sex, could stop to notice that they weren't being killed by fanged demons, and that one little girl was the cause of the continuation of their boring lives. It was almost touching to know that the human race has grown up over the past few centuries." I could actually see her saying this, hearing her voice clearly in my head. Beautifully done.

Angeldove 08/05/04 - 12:27PM 6: Deep Thought - Oz Signed
I thought you did a great job with Oz, especially with exposition starting, 'the prom is a place for superficiality….' The only thing I thought briefly out of character, and it could have just been due to the wording, was that Oz would care 'that none of them would ever offer a thank you' I do believe the first half of the sentence 'I could never do that, to know that thousands of people owed me their lives' Oz wouldn't want that kind of responsibility, its in complete contrast to the way he lives his life, from the outside looking in, studying, evaluating. But otherwise I felt it was a good representation of his POV.

Angeldove 08/05/04 - 12:27PM 5: Reigning Queen - Cordelia Signed
Cordy is very Cordy in this section and the Prom is no better place than to write her POV. Worrying about whether Buffy succeeded in stopping their threat based on '…Because damn I love this dress' was not only something Cordy would think, but say if given an audience.

Angeldove 08/05/04 - 12:26PM 4: Rather Odd to Me - Wesley Signed
Wesley is very well represented of the Wes of that time. I heard his whininess. His initial reaction to the award ceremony being a negative aspect because of his strict watcher guidelines and adhesion to the 'secret identity' was perfect Wes.

Angeldove 08/05/04 - 12:25PM 3: Pride - Giles Signed
I felt more in tune with this Giles chapter. "This screeching noise sounds like something a demon would make during mating season." It was nice to see Giles not only putting down the music as we know he would, but also comparing it to the greatest part of his life, the demon hunting. This is so hard, because I wanted more in the way of 'Buffy Pride' thoughts, however I was pleasantly surprised with his reaction to Angel being there and the parallel you made between Angel and The Classmates in regards to Buffy and her needs.

Angeldove 08/05/04 - 12:24PM 2: Not so bad. - Xander Signed
Ok, I think I may have forced you into a corner with my challenge that is difficult to get out of. Because all these characters are dealing with one particular event, just told through different POVs there is going to be overlap, no escaping it. So, it is difficult to keep each section fresh because of this. Now on to Xander. This chapter with Xander had good voice representation, but I wanted more depth. I wanted to see everything through his eyes and only glimpsed a small portion of that. His thoughts and feelings on not winning the award were great and so very Xander.

Author's Response: I just wanted to say thanks for all of my reviews. The deal with this is that when I was writing all of these it was 4am, and I had no beta reader, so I ran spell check and posted them. Your reviews are helping me to improve them greatly. Thank you lots and lots.
