I'm really excited so far about, 'who's the Risen One. Another good story.
Author's Response: I hope you're not disappointed by the the resolution to the RIsen One mystery. Thanks for the review. |

I love this story! You brought in Ethan Rayne and Willow. I couldn't be happier. The abduction by Spike and Connor was brilliant. I also love how you have so many story lines going on and it is easy to follow along. Your put so much action in each chapter but pull me in by revealling some of the inner workings of each character. (Like Kennedy becoming mad at Willow when she pulls away from her in front of other people) I am dying to know who the risen is... Great chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I’m so glad you love the story. Ethan and Willow are fun characters and I’d have to be an idiot not to bring them in. I try to keep several story lines going. You know, it’s funny, I feel my current season of RoF is dragging and now I think I know why! I’m glad I[‘m managing that delicate balance between action and emotion, at least so far as you’re concerned. Thanks again for reading! |

Loved the Spike/ Connor banter. They’re the perfect odd couple buddies. It was nice to see Willow, even if briefly. She was awesome as “spy girl.” I love the conniving baddies. Eve is used here to much greater effect than she ever was on the show. Ethan Rayne was very cool. I love how he’s still playing for himself and willing to sell out to anyone. Finally, that last line was killer. I’m really sick of calling him the Risen, too. Hopefully we’ll meet him soon. I’m dying to see this guy. Also, I caught this chapter’s in-joke. Dr. Tam was a character on Joss Whedon’s “Firefly.”
Author's Response: Thanks again! Yep, Dr. Tam is from "Firefly." There's another "Firefly" reference down the road. As for everything else, keep reading. |

Ethan Rayne? I would think that Buffy wouldn't trust that guy as far as she could throw him. But he's always good to use in a betrayal sort of way. He's never loyal to anyone but himself.
Author's Response: Buffy doesn't trust Ethan Rayne. But as has ahappened several times on the show, she needs him. |

Sorry, forgot one last thing. Will you stop trying to kill me!?!...I got to that last Faith section and was highly pissed to be left hanging. Yes I know its all a part of the story writing, but seriously you are risking the health of my heart:) This just goes to show how great your story really is if I am freaking out that I have to wait even one minute for the next section.
Author's Response: LOL_ sorry. I hope your heart has recovered from the strain I'm apparently putting on it. |

The Connor/Spike interaction is just great, and its thread continues and expands in this chapter as well. I enjoy watching Spike gain more respect for Connor as the story evolves. Also, Spike's growing suspicions about Connor through small clues reminds us how intelligent and observant Spike really is, a fact that is often overlooked due to his bad-boy, sarcastic demeanor.
Author's Response: Spike and Connor’s relationship will definitely have its ups and downs. I’m glad you’re with me on Spike’s insightfulness. This is the same guy who realized Willow was “hanging on by a thread” in season five when all of her friends thought she was fine. |

Not my favorite in the series, but still awesome. The tense action scenes were replaced with tense spy scenes that were exciting, but not quite as exciting as I’m used to in the series. But the last line had its usual effect I sit here drooling for more. I can’t wait to see what happens when Buffy finds the Risen One. My only fear is that this villain can’t be all he’s been built up to be
Author's Response: Sorry to hear this wasn’t your favorite. I want them all to be your favorite- lol. I’m glad to read that you’re still drooling for more. I too worry my Risen One will disappoint some. But I think he’ll be pretty cool. |
