OH LOVED THIS CHAPTER IT WAS AMAZING! And just thinking of Connor with his shirt off...ohhhh.... anyway what's with this man? freaky if you ask me I hope that we find out who he is! Excellent stroy off to read more! Author's Response: Shirtless Connor never hurts...it gives me butterflies as I see a very different shirtless guy when I read that scene. Always oving the flashbacks to the 'Angel' episode of BTVS, my second fav of season 1!

Sorry I took so long to review this. Being such a fan of your Connor and Dawn characterizations, I was not looking forward to a chapter that dealt solely with Buffy and her thoughts. Yet you still managed to deliver a really interesting read. I know it’s a lot to ask, but I really hope Buffy continues to make appearances in the story. Your exploration of her character leaves me longing for a resolution to her issues. Author's Response: No problem, I just worried you lost interest somewhere and had stopped reading. I'm glad you were able to get through this exposition, and want to see Buffy in future chapters...spoilerish - you will. Thanks for reviewing, it really does mean a lot.

I thought this was a great chapter. As an odd comparison, this chapter reminded e of the first couple seasons of The Sopranos. Tony and Carmela have difficulty disciplining their kids. One of the reasons is the fact that they’re hypocrites and morally compromised themselves. How do you teach your kids not to steal when you or your husband earns a living in part by killing people? This chapter had that same conflict. Buffy wants to counsel her sister on romance, but is compromised by her own dodgy track record. What’s more, Buffy realizes her own weak position in such matters. You’re truly talented to be able to ostensibly write a story about a Dawn/ Connor romance, yet still work in very compelling and accurate character studies of secondary characters. Even more impressive is that this so-called secondary character in your story was the primary character on the show, yet you still have so much to say. Author's Response: You and your flattery. I've never seen The Sopranos but if I went on reputation alone I figure this is a big complement. And I'm glad you like the 'secondary character' story-line, as it will all become apparent in the end why it isn't secondary at all, which I see you have already figured out.

Your comment about not being able to get a cell phone signal on Stanford’s campus is so dead-on accurate. I’m wondering if you looked that up for realism or just needed it for a plot device- lol. Also, I loved the cookie dough line. That was killer! Also a killer cliffhanger. Maybe I’m giving myself away as an unrepentant Connor-fan, but for most of that chapter, I was picturing the “gag me” faces he must have been making while Buffy and Angel talked. Still, I loved their talk. You really have their banter as well as their serious conversations down. I really love that your story gave me so vividly and believably a conversation the show(s) never provided. Author's Response: I worried people would be thinking, “what the hell is Connor doing during all this bull-shit” but I saw what you did, as well as believed he would have gladly stayed out of what he viewed as a useless conversation of over-dramatics. Wait until his turn with Dawn, then see how useless and ridicules he thinks it is!

Great Dawn/ Buffy banter. I'm amazed at how you can switch genres so freely, yet still keep the continuity of the story. You're easily the best fanfic writer I've encountered. Knowing people are invested is a good kind of pressure to keep me on my toes to put out my best work! Thanks again for the review.

I didn't want to review the prologue because, even though it was good, it was short. The prologue and the first chapter are awesome! They're a great contrast to each other. One shows Connor as a hunter in the dark of night. The next gives us Connor as unlikely romantic guy and Dawn as the hottie he has his eye on. That quick switching of gears between the supernatural and the mundane (not that falling in love is mundane) is what the Buffyverse was built on. So far I haven't had huge luck with finding good fanfic. I'm so glad I found Secrets Exposed. Author's Response: I don't know what to say except thanks for the great review. It's nice to know that there are readers out there that are willing to start reading a long fic, even when it is already 15 chapters in. I hope you continue to enjoy it.

Yay! A new chapter. I have been checking for them everyday, as well you know. I am really loving this story. The fight scene was very well written, and quite violent. But hey, Buffy and Angel lead violent lives, so it fit perfectly. Your sarcastic slayer speak was very good, as well as the sarcastic college aged teenager speak. Even Angel cracked a few decent Angel-esqe sarcastic one liners. Very much like he would. I loved the setup of the situation for Buffy and Angel to find out about Dawn and Conner, coinciding with Buffy and Dawn finding out that Angel has a kid. I had never been a fan of Connor in the series, until the final season of Angel, and this story builds on that and makes me like him even more. Which I like alot. And of course, Im a fan of your poetic style, word choices and vivid descriptions. It helps me feel like I could be watching it as clear as I have watched all of the eps of both seasons. I cant wait for the next chapters. Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked the fight scene, you know how nervous I was about that. Another awesome chapter and again with the suspense! I can't wait until Buffy and Angel meet. That'll be so awesome. The exchange between Angel and Connor was excellent and much more satisfying than I feel we ever got on the show. There's a lot of issues between them. Your story shows the tension that would result.
