Reviews for Running on Faith, Season One

Vampire's with Guns. (Maybe Blade will show up, Just kidding). Anyway I decide to look at some of your other stuff, since you haven't updated WIT'S, or DESTROYER (Hint) This was good too. By the way, is this in the same world as WIT'S? It sounded like it, when you talked about Willow?

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm glad you like the vmaps with guns. I hope to have more WIts and Destroyer soon, but life has been so, so hectic. I was considering making this the same "world" as WiTs, but ultimately didn't. But thanks for picking up on the mention of Willow.

Hey. It's me. AGAIN. Well, I was sleepless, so I decided to check out those stories you pointed. I didn't read them entirely but from the little sneak peeks I took, I can tell two of them are not my cup of tea. Specially that one where Connor turns into that annoying vampire's b*tch. Don't take me wrong. I still appreciate your suggestions and will always give a chance to any story you recommend. So, being sleepless and without energy or time enough (at some hour I will have to take a couple of sleeping pills) to search for other stories, I decided to re-read yours. After all, they are very good, Connor-centric and I don't know them by memory. I may even bother you with comments per chapter. He-he. Don't worry. You don't have to answer back... or even read my reviews for that matter. By the way! The Dostoievski thing? A total compliment! Dear old Fedor is one of my favourite authors ever. Anyway, here I go with Running on Faith. Cheers!

Author's Response: Okay, you are not "bothering" me with comments per chapter. I love getting reviews. Thanks so much for yours.

I loved that story. Faith was talking down Conner, that was mean. But it was funny. I loved it even that down talking.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing. Faith is pretty hostile in this particular chapter, but she'll warm up to everyone eventually. Well . . . probably.

Yay! I finally figured out how to submit a review! There are things about this I just love, like Ethan mentioning Dawn was a fairy during Holloween, that could be a whole seperate AU fic! I figured out who the risen one is and I'm really tempted to skip ahead to see how...Well, I don't want to give it away. Anyway, I totally believe Buffy could freak out and sleep with Connor because she feels bad, and I believe she could want Rhiely to devote attention to her. But, I dunno if Rhiely rejecting her would make her that upset. She'd have to be down about some other big thing too and Rhiley would be the kicker. But, it's still a great twist, and Buffy's reaction to Connor/Cordy was great. Looking foward to more.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Someone is actually writing a pre-season 5 Dawn fic. But I too like throwing in hints as to where Dawn fits in memory. Glad you figured out who the Risen One is. How isn’t that complicated. Riley rejecting Buffy wasn’t the only thing that was upsetting her, but it was certainly emblematic of the problem. Hope you keep reading.

i just finished reading the whole thing and wow. I couldn't sleep @ night not knowing wat would happen. I'm working on Running on Faith;Season Two, but since there are only 11 chapters so far, I'm taking it nice and slow. But this is really good, good style of writing and you can really get into their heads. So good job. You are now one of my favorite writers.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm glad I kept you on edge. I'm heavily influenced by Dumas' *Three Musketeers* serials (and the show "24"), so I always want to end chapters with these cliffhangers that leave readers wanting to know what happens next. I'm glad I'm doing an okay job of that. Thanks for saying I'm one of your favorite writers. taht means a lot to me!

Wow! What a great beginning. I love your Connor. You start out by REALLY explaining how it felt to him being left by Angel to fend for himself and have him realize the sacrifice that Angel made for him. That's brilliant! Usually most writer's either make Connor whiny or just all psycho crazy... This was a nice change of pace. You definately nailed Faith I could picture her all attitude giving Connor the once over... I can't wait to see where you are going with this. Oh! and vampires with guns... and body armor... This is going to be great. Thanks!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I’m glad you like Connor version 2.1 as I like to call him. There are a lot of unresolved issues between Angel and Connor that I really want to explore. I *WISH* I nailed Faith. Oh, wait, you mean nailed as in got the character down. Thanks. Hopefully Cool Connor, nailed Faith, and my body-armored vamps will keep your interest.

Hi! I just finished reading Season 1! Faith is a really cool character! I plan to start reading Season 2 right away! Are you going to do a Season 3?

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing. In particular, thanks for being my 100th review! I've only completed five chapters of season 2, so it's hard to know whether I'll be up for a third season. Thanks for reading!

Awesome writing. The characters are fresh. I like it that Dawn is a bit more seasoned. Looking forward to your other episodes, and then Season Two. A definite Ten!

Author's Response: Thanks s much for the review. Having a bit more seasoned Dawn was importnat to me because I always thought she was such a brat on the show. But she was younger then, so there's room for her to grow. Thanks again!

That's a nice one,Are you going to make more?

Author's Response: Thanks! I wrote 21 more chapters for this "season". I will probably do a second, but time constraints will determine when.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Feel free to copy the story so you can read later, but please don't post it on line anywhere unless I say it's okay. Thanks again.

OK, I said in my e-mail that I'd review the chapters. So here it is. This is a wonderful set-up for the entire series. You hit Faith perfectly. I like that you start out with sane Connor, show us that he is a real person, not some crazy terrorist kid. And Dawn's bitchiness is tops. So true. I loved the fight scene. Vampires in Kevlar? Ingenious.

Author's Response: Hey, thanks! Glad you liked my characetrizations and the vamps in Kevlar.

Bravo. I'm big Faith fan, always have been and anyone that can effectively use her as a "good guy" has good votes from me. Well done and I look forward to reading the rest.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm a big fan of "Good Guy" Faith, too.

This is actually pretty good. I was a little hesitant to read it at first because most stories I read like this have always been real dull and lacking in the characters personality. You on the other hand have the characters traits down pretty good. I like how you incorprated Connor in this. I'm just a little confused on how they all defeated the people in the alley and stuff like that. You may explain it latter though since this is only the first chapter. Also, I absolutley love how you don't have it in script form. I hate script form with a violent passion. I'm going to go start reading more of the story now. Keep up the good work.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I left some of the action blank and just followed Faith because I felt the story was getting long. I wanted a nice balance of action and character, so I decided to gloss over the play by play on how a few things happened. If a lot of people think that's a mistake, I'd love to go back and write some more action sequences. Hope you like the rest of the stroy as much as the first episode.

Hey! I absolutely LOVE your style of writing!!!!! You manage to create action yet keep the quirky dialogue in there, which makes it soooo realistic! It's like Whedon had written it himself!!!! Keep working your magic cause everyone should have read of this stuff!!!! It's GREAT!!!! Deserves a full 10/10!!!!! Thanks for making my day interesting! : )

Author's Response: Thanks for making my day- period. Your compliments really made me blush. I’m glad you liked reading my story. I really wanted to make sure I kept the dialogue and action going. Thanks Again!
