Okay, I read this again for the hundreth time, and was inspired to beg! I think you could create a beautiful story about a Buffy/Spike relationship, based on this poem. The poem could act as a first chapter, and you could add a story centered around the uncertain but passionate feelings of Buffy, and how she deals with Spike. I would love to read it if you did expand this into a story! Again, I love this poem, always have and always will!

Author's Response: Sorry it took me so long to respond, I just noticed I had a new review. When I stop working my 65+ weeks, I swear I will consider it as long as I can think of something creative. Thank you so much for your review.

This was amazing. Very short, but very powerful and to the point. It really conveyed Buffy's need for feeling, but her lack of love for him at that time. Her questioning of why he would love her was very true to character. I felt that Buffy's feeling towards their unique relationship at that time was well represented in this. She needed him because she needed to feel, and she found comfort in the fact that even though she was using him, that her needs were met in that relationship. You did a great job with the imagery, and the audience could truly tell that the feelings that Spike had were love, while hers werent quite the same. This was very powerful, and a wonderful read!!

Author's Response: This review could have been a literary de-composition of my writing, it is so dead on. I'm glad you saw everything for what it was, even in all its vagueness. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for the great complimentary review.

I loved it! I got chills reading it! I love the undertones of the poem, and the fact that, even if you didn't have a poem synposis at the beginning, you would still know that the poem is displaying Buffy and Spike. A GREAT poem, you have obvious poetical talent, keep it up!

Author's Response: You know I did struggle with whether or not I should put as much info into the synopsis as I did. Even now I wonder if I should edit some of it out. Oh, and it is great hearing I caused chills. Chills are always the best form of review. Thanks!

Beautiful. Especially the use of alliteration and imagery. I really like the repitive invocations of fire imagery (blaze, branding, etc.). Not to mention how effectively and concisely it covers the complexity of her relationship with him.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the fire imagery. I worried It was overdone, yet it is my favorite part of the writing. Thanks, as always, for your review.

A very interesting and touching little insight into Buffy's complex feelings for Spike. You captured her innerlife truthfully.

Author's Response: I'm glad you felt I correctly captured her feelings. Writing an established characters feelings is always intimidating to put out there. So thanks for the review and reassurance.
