Recently been introduced to fanfiction, this is the first piece I've considered very well written. Word choice is excellent, especially poignant is the paragraphs surrounding Spike...paints a vivid picture. Paragraphs surrounding Buffy also good, but for me didn't quite hit as strongly as the first half. Regardless, I'd say it's easily a 9 out of 10.
