I thought this was a really good story. Of the many ways people have devised to reinsert Angel into Connor’s like (or vice versa), this is by far the most unique, the most simple, and the most funny. I love the idea of a dip in grades garnering Angel’s attention. I also thought the plot moved forward at a good pace.

I was enthralled with this story up to the end...then I became confused. I checked to make sure the story was finished and only became more confused. I needed more…what was Spike's final decision? What was really going on with Connor? How was this demon getting to him?

Author's Response: Basically the demon was catching him whenever he was out by himself in a secluded area eg: walking back from the library, there’d be an ambush and then the demon would drain him. Once he’d taken enough from Connor, they’d drop him off closer to the dorms and then he’d regain consciousness and be dazed and confused, not having any memory of what had just happened. You could look at it (Wolfram and Hart ordering the Lavkar demon) either way, was Lilah telling Angel the truth? Did the Senior Partners truly want Connor or, was this all just a lie so Angel’s attention was directed at something else? As for Spike’s final decision, he chose to keep his soul and not sign it over to Wolfram and Hart. Therefore, he was not willing to help Angel save Connor. "I hope you find another way but I'm not giving up my soul, I got it back fair and square."
