| Another great chapter in Jericho's tale. Actually, this chapter is focused on backstory, which is always cool to throw in. Like in Buffy/Angel, when they go back in time with ANgelus, this chapter is a great way to look at how everything's been set up. And as for Eris...well, I gotta say, I really like him. I mean, one minute, he holding out a regular conversation, the next, he's grabbing Bryanna's neck. Which leads me to my biggest comlement: keep up the sudden, unexpected occurance like that. Well, I'll just finish this up before i start to ramble: GREAT STORY, KEEP IT UP |

Another great chapter. I was wondering if there was a reason Santo didn't kill Ariadne. I think there should be, even if it isn't revealed for awhile. Also, the phrase "blade of a knife" seems redundant to me.

As always I have to say it...Amazing chapter!! The way you describe everything makes it feel so real. I get discusted with Eris just reading it and I feel so bad for Brynna. You really know how to get us into the story and thats awesome! I can't wait to read the next chapter.

This is a some pretty cool stuff. The writing, for one, is top notch. You've really got a knack for alliteration (whether or not that's on purpose), and you've done a good job developing Jericho as a tortured individual (biting his dead girlfriend during sex? Nice!). As much as I like reflective fanfic, I can't help but feel the story could use a bit more than just Jericho's thoughts and self-loathe. Don't get me wrong, I love what you've done so far, but in order to truly round out the story, I'd like to see more of the immediate aftermath of his actions. Keep it up though, this is some great work!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Its always wonderful to see new reviewers. I really appreciate it. And I understand (at least, I believe I do) what you mean about Jericho, and I'm actually glad you pointed that out - about wanting to see the immediate effects of his actions. What I'm going for right now is a series in which there will eventually be a book specifically about Jericho's past, and all the events that brought him to where he's at now. It'll go deeper into who he was as a human, what happened when he became a vampire, and how Georgiana saved him, among other things. So, what I guess I'm aiming for at the moment is little pieces of his past through reflection or conversation that (hopefully) up the interest in who he was and what exactly happened to him. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to r&r, and I hope you'll continue reading. |

Amazing chapter. I too liked how you explained Jericho's past a little bit more. It shows how hard it must be for him to fight off his urges. I keep picturing him as Angel though, no matter how hard I try not to. I guess because in a way they have stuff in common.
Author's Response: As always thank you for the review ... personally I think of Jericho as Gerard Butler, but that's just me :) Yeah, I realize the similarities between the two. I'm really just trying to go for the semi-tortured hero ... which is, of course, nothing revolutionary, especially when the hero is a vampire. Nice! I liked this chapter a lot. Giving us insight to another character. He's the one that Ariadne and Skylar were talking about...the Executioner? Wow, I didn't see him being the one in her dream, I kind of though it would turn out to be Santo. Anyway, loved it. Keep it up.

Another amazing chapter as always! I like the changes. The parts where Jericho is looking back on his past are great. They really show even more how much he really can't have sex or he'll lose his control. It was a good add on. I also found this part interesting, "Jericho braced his hands on the ceramic tile, the corded muscles in his arms tensed as he bowed his head, inhaling long, slow breaths and trying to sedate the erratic beat of his heart and the insistent heat in his veins." I guess vampires have heart beats in your story? Very interesting. As always I can't wait to read more and keep up the amazing work!!!
Author's Response: As always, I can't thank you enough for all the great reviews!! I really, truly appreciate it. I kinda wanted to explain the sex thing better ... in the sense I didn't want it to be he has sex and completely loses it ... its just an instinct thing where his loss of control may only last a few minutes, but thats long enough to kill someone. Actually, I have a conversation planned between Jericho and Ariadne later on that, in my opinion, will be kind of amusing - playing on the pop culture reference to Buffy. I've seen other paranormal authors use it, so I figured what the heck?? As for the heartbeat ... well, it just kinda made sense to me since becoming a vampire in this reality isn't really about losing your soul. A vampire or werewolf, or whatever, is just a mixed blood - a mutt - that is both human and demon. It just depends on the person what personality is in control. But, again, thats all stuff that will grow and be explained throughout the course of the series. Again, as always, thank you!!!! |

Author's Response: Well, I will tell you this: That's a good theory, but that isn't it :) But it does make me happy to know that people are trying to make guesses as to why Ariadne has these things. wow another great chapter.I hope you explain more about the ring and the necklace in this story. I think I might know because in the other version you dropped a couple hints(i think lol)

As for the ring, I will say this, I don't really get into the ring so much in this story. The pendant is discussed more in this story, but again, not too much because the focus of the next book in the series is going to be the ring and pendant and their significance to why Ariadne has them. |

Wow! Another gret chapter. And about the last comment, I wasn't saying I wanted him described more! I loved how I got the feeling of what he looked like without being told exactly. And the dream...scary.

I was just saying I probably should put a descriptive in there just because main characters should be physically described to some extent ... what I've come to find out though is that regardless of whether or not the author describes a character, every reader gets their own impression no matter what. Excellent as always! I just love this story and I can't wait to read more. I'm so currious about the neckless and the ring it's driving me crazy! Even if you don't get published (which I know you will) you better post everything you were going to write in here or I'm gonna go crazy lol. Anyway this is another wonderful chapter as always. Author's Response: I promise, if I don't get published, I'll reveal all ... at least the ideas I've had as of this point, such as the pendant and ring and why Ariadne has it. I'm glad to know its interesting ... its difficult for me to go back and reread and be like 'Oh, that sounds really cool, and I can't wait to find out what happens next' because ... well, I already know what happens next :) So, its really nice to hear those kinds of comments.
