After the series of nice reviews it got, especially from popular writers on this site, this story was a bit disappointing. At least the first chapter was. Arezue seems like an amalgam of Connor and Spike. She's like Connor in that she's Angel's child and has a rocky history with him. She's like Spike in that she's a formal member of Angel's gang who now has a soul, but is slightly more morally ambiguous than Angel. Personally, I don't find a rip off of two existing characters very compelling. In fact, it borders on Mary-Sue territory. Hopefully the other chapters develop her character a little better and make her a more singular character.

Interesting story. I've never been a big fan of Angel's parenting skills, so this story definitley fits with the Buffyverse as I see it. You've definitley set Arezue up to be an interesting character. Related to Angel by blood and as a member of the fan gang. Dated Spike, has a soul, and yet is still morally ambiguous. I'm interested in know who the crowd after Arezue is. Of course, that's just part of the mystery that makes the story so compelling. Also, I wonder if the master/ Arezue's ex-boyfriend that Grommbulk served was Spike. It's all definitely very interesting. Great job.

Cool story. I like exploring Angel's fatherly side in a different way. The voice mail was interesting and has me intrigued as to what will happen next. Also, clearly Angel isn't happy to hear form his daughter. I imagine there's a guilt thing there, but I wonder what else is up with them. Anyway, off to read more.

To quote Xander, "man, that guy goy major neck in his day." I really, really like this story. Arezue's story seems not only to fit with Connor's interaction with Angel (neglect, leggy whores, etc.), but also with the rule of thumb that love of just about any kind makes Angel less human and more withdrawn. I also love how you weave Arezue into Angelus's back story without deviating from canon. And m/m slash to boot. The dream but was hysterical. And the conversation on the phone was so emotionally charged. You built so much tension and subtext into it. lease let me know when the story's updated.
