Haha sweet. I love it, Arnie makes a good governor in your story. Yeah it's perfectly understandable, the spuffiness that is. It just made me go: "HOW CAN THEY POSSIBLY BE HORNY IN A SITUATION LIKE THAT?!??!?!" In a few places. All around awesome story though... I say again...

I have to say I love the way you update so regularly. It is just amazing. I want to say pack in the fan fiction thing and start writing your own books, but I might not get the next chapter. My admiration for you is beyond belief. From what I can gather sometimes you write six thousand words a day - and the other day I spotted a typo - A TPYO. Start sending stuff off to the publishers.

God I like how you show that basically Spike could been beaten to death and no one would batted an eyelid. The way Buffy was taking her frustrations out on Spike was disturbing (not bad or not good). Ahh - I don't know. Intriguing emotional story - and I just can't wait for Riley to get involved.

Something tells me I'm really gonna hate Riley in this story. Something is also telling me that I'm going to love it. After finishing Saving Grace, I was hoping it wouldn't be long before you came up with a new story, and I wasn't dissapointed. I can't wait to see how this goes.

Very interesting - you have taken the whole 'slave' concept and given it an interesting twist. I particularly like the underlying question: 'is a vampire a person or a thing'. In the show they were viewed as little more than zombies ready for the 'dusting' (not killing), unless they had a soul, like the big prancing poof. But when they started to make vampires regulars on the show - we ended up with vampires with a character, ie Drusilla, Harmony and most importantly Spike: the only souless creature of the night who is a hopeless romantic. Who says you can't have nice demons? Lorne's a demon and no one calls him an evil undead thing. But as you rightly pointed out slavery needs to objectify the slave - be it Negro or vampire, and I would imagine it would be just as hard to pretend a vampire poet doesn't 'bleed' (think Shylock) as to pretend a black person isn't really as human as a white person. That must have taken an awful lot of convincing. Excellent story as always.
