Another gret achapter. Angel haunted by the ghosts of his past. Connor showing Emma the ocean (how's that for coming full circle?),and, of course, Angel threatening to kick Connor out AGAIN! How many times can one guy abandon his ked?
Author's Response: Angel thinks Conner should know better then to go so far as try to do him in. Again. Plus I think that puts a large amount of Anger, and tension in the relationship. And I thought it'd be sweet to take Emma to the ocean, she'd never seen it, but on T.V. Thank you for your words. |

I really loved this chapter. It had a special kind of feel to it I can't explain. Mysterious, I guess. Plus a Las Vegas setitng makes for a very special chapter of "To Keep Safe."

Hell of a sibling rivalry there. I loved how it worked out. James got on my nerves, that stupid jerk.
Author's Response: That's what I was going for, nerves hitting. I kind of had the feeling that Spike could have a lot of the things that Angel could have, but Angel had two not one. Spike, I think he was a virgin when he got sired :-P. |

Gunn’s fate and Connor reaction were sad and creepy respectively. The Emma stuff is sad and painful, but I like that you’re dealing with the aftermath and not just brushing it away. I’m a little worried what’ll happen to poor Angel when Connor or Emma find out he’s back.

Long chapter- probably long enough to be its own story. The fake out was a hell of a thing, but I liked the ending- the happy part of it, anyway. I hope everything is okay after what happened. Sorry for the vaguesness, I don’t want to spoil.

Wow- good story, but painful. Connor thinking about what Angelus did was so heartbreaking. And he was so lonely without her. Then, the twin cliffhangers of Gunn and Emily. Can't wait to read the next chapter.
Author's Response: Conner feels greatly heart broken. So, I wanted to explain, that, I think the details should be there, always. [If I ever don't have details, :-P I might have forgot what did:-P lol. I'm getting better about that though.] |

Nice to have Angel back. Wow. The higher powers really have a lot invested in that guy. I wonder how he’ll live with the memory of what he did to his son’s girlfriend. Even more so, I wonder how Connor will handle it. Great beginning.
