This is a great first chapter. I'm very, very picky when it comes to alt universe stuff, but the setup for this story is excellent. I like how you threw a character from the cannon universe into this strange situation. I'm surprised that Spike's not a little more freaked, but I suppose he feels sick and really doesn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth. I'm really hooked on the double mystery you've set up. First, how did Spike get to what must be his fantasy universe? (I certainly hope he won't go into the basement for soup and get his heart cut out- lol). Second, how will you work in the other Buffy characters to this story? What will their back-stories be? I wonder about Liam/Angel's relationship with Spike, whether Angel and Buffy dated, what Connor's like, what Dawn is up to, if Joyce is alive or dad or if (Grandma) Jenny was Buffy's mother, etc.

| Interesting story. It's always nice to see what things would be like of the characters of Buffy were actually normal people. Can't wait to see where you take this. |
